i cant belive it got hacked into again ;/ who do you think it is? and the person is pretty dumb for changing credit card info. i hope the police gets this person. and the GM i talked to told me that he would be able to get his account back if he provided previous info. but i guess that didnt work out when he called POL. i hope everything will come full circle and work out in the end.

ps youre here? o.O

because if/when theyre caught, they have revealed their real name. assuming they used their own credit card.

The point of changing the credit card info is that the password can't be reset anymore because of that, since the dumbasses at SE will say that you don't own ALL of the account information (missing the credit card) So yeah, it can be a bad move if one actually gets caught, but changing credit card is still basically the only way to steal an account, since if you don't change it the real owner can just get the bank to stop payments. Risky? Yes, but not dumb since there isn't really any other way to keep an account running after stealing it.

oh ok. i just thought since toyer said they only changed the CC info, and all the other info was still his current, that would help the investigation since its internet identity theft. i honestly dont see why having 90% of the proof isnt enough ; ;

Even if they change everything it will still help the investigation because the name on Playonline ID can't be changed. So it will still be internet identity theft in any case since they're using his name. The point is that Square is not gonna investigate it in any case, that's something that can be done through law enforcement only
