Christmas Même

Welcome to the Christmas edition of getting to know your friends.
Okay, here's what you're supposed to do, and try not to be a SCROOGE!!!
Change all the answers so that they apply to you.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper, unless I'm only giving things to one person, like a secret Santa type thing. It's easier to toss some things in a bag.

2. Real tree or Artificial? The tree is meaningless to me, but I prefer real as long as I don't have to mess with it. Also, they burn extremely well once they've dried out. My brother and I once dragged an entire christmas tree on top of a bonfire and caught some branches on fire a good fifteen feet above.

3. When do you put up the tree? I avoid putting it up at all because I'm not really interested, but I usually get roped into doing it a little after Thanksgiving.

4. When do you take the tree down? I don't know. I try not to be there.

5. Do you like eggnog? I've never had it.

6. Favorite gifts received as a child? Well, there was my bike. That was a pretty good Christmas, and I still have it.

7. Hardest person to buy for? Everyone is hard to buy for. But my mom is probably the hardest. Then again, she seems to like anything she gets.

8. Easiest person to buy for? The people who tell everybody what they want. In the interest of being easy to buy for this year, I will do the same. I would like a small island country and an army of ninjas. Get on it.

9. Do You have a nativity scene? I think my mom has one, but I have no reason. Though this gives me parody ideas. >:}

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I email most cards because it's easier. But it depends who I'm sending it to.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? My parents once gave me Joe's Apartment because it had my name in it. I already hated that movie, though I admit it was funny. But the socks I used to get every year are a pretty close second.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? I'm not sure I like any of them. But one of these years I'm going to watch Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, and I'm sure it will be amazing.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Well, I haven't shopped for anything yet this year.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Not that I recall.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? I was going to say cookies, but Christmas cookies always suck around here, unless you like breaking teeth on gritty, weird-tasting cakes of who-knows-what.

16. Lights on the tree? We always have them. Sometimes I put them up, sometimes someone else does. I try not to have to do this.

17. Favorite Christmas song? I Am Santa Claus

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I'll take any excuse to get away from home.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Slasher, Blitzkrieg, Grendel... no, I forgot the next one.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? A neutrino, for Grav-mass (Isaac Newton's birthday).

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We used to beg for this, so my parents gave in and started putting things in our stockings for Christmas eve. This has evolved into a joke and then a tradition wherein we get a bag of pecans on Christmas eve and actual presents on Christmas.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? The same old songs that get played over and over, and people projecting Christmas cheer because they think others should feel what they don't. I would be more cheerful without people trying to force it.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? We usually do gold with white lights. But I don't really have a favorite. I'm not a big fan of the red-green complimentary scheme.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? I don't really have a favorite. Anything good will do.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? I guess I should be more realistic this time. If small island nations are not available this year, I would accept an abandoned missile silo. Or, you know, awesome books. Because I can't think of much else that I would actually use.
