The only reason I can think of as to why ANYONE would settle here, and decide to build a city, is the fact that they were on the EDGE of the continent, and didnt wanna go back across those mountains again...You can't believe the steepness of the hills in SanFran!!..even some of the sidewalks have like steps on them so people can get foot traction...
The one pic shows Lombard St....the windey one..It was absolutely awesome!!..I guess the people who live on this block have an impressive address but...where the hell do ya park your car??!!...and I wonder what the real estate values are....
Anyway, the cable cars are pretty quaint..they're wooden!!..and if ya sit in the front(like we did) ya can look into the mechanism that makes em go and stop..it looks like an old timey roller coaster, and it makes all kinda metal noises!!..lol...oh, and they actually LET ya hang off the side and ride, like ya see in the movies and commercials (little Ben had to take em up on it, as you can see)...our "driver" let me ring the famous bell but I had nothin on him. He had a cool "rap" he did with the bell when he rang it..I didnt get his name but he was a hip, bearded Black guy who was very entertaining to us tourists. At one point, the car stopped to pick up people, and my Bro says "hey, look over there", and pointed to a window in a house at the intersection...What we saw was this:
I dont know if yas can see exactly what's hangin up in the window(maybe yas can zoom or somethin') but us guys thought it was worth a picture!!...Ya, its panties!!...what guy WOULDNT take a pic of this??!!
After the cable car ride, we took a taxi(seemed like a roller coaster..lol) back to the Hard Rock Cafe and had some lunch..
