We're instructed to brush our tongues to prevent halitosis/bad breath, because smelly bacteria breeds back there. Yet when we do so, an inherent reflex makes us gag. When I so much as brush halfway back, I very nearly vomit.
So - were we designed to have smelly tongues? If God designed us, among the many other quirks of the human body he may have found humorous what purpose does this one serve? Or if you're an evolution kind of person, what purpose might this have served? Because scientists can explain everything - even why girls like pink and boys like blue - on some evolutionary basis.
Of course I could google the answer, I just want to know what you can come up with. (And by "you" I spose I mean Julie, and the occasional Anna)
