Would any of you really persecute someone for something that was out of their hands...? If they had no control over something?

Isn't what matters that they regret what they've done? Tell me what is more human than regret.

I guess that's good if people are distracted by a curse. But even the curse brings the same problem.

Curses bring several problems, depending on what it is. Those curses that make you tell the truth all the time or twist your personality... they're terrible.
