Because of a few fucked up - mostly one fucked up thing that I dont feel like re-hashing at this point in the evening - things that have happened recently I have decided to make some new rules for myself so as to avoid feeling as shitty as I do right now.
1. Focus on life right here right now.
-no long distance
-limit time on IM after work hours to... 15 hours a week. Do not leave it on over night or while watching movies, all that crap.
-stop fantasizing
-stop romanticizing
-be patient
2. actively pursue seeking new friends/acquaintences who have other interests preferably not in theatre
-book club? writing group? speed dating? yoga?
3. create routine and tradition with those you love in new york
- sunday football. monday football. happy hour.
4. see more movies
5. read more books.
6. mother fucking write more even if it blows or is just in here or on a napkin or whatever shit
7. take a vacation
8. join that expensive gym and make it worth your while financially
9. continue to be pro-active and stand up for yourself. STOP second guessing
OK. so, baby steps. We're gonna go make this happen.
