Hat Trick!

Hey everyone!

Today was my last academic day with Holy Cross School! I feel so accomplished, like I've completed a huge task, which I guess I have. I've been there for 9 years, and its sad to see it go, but I'm ready to move on. Thank you Holy Cross for a good education! haha. I wrote an entire page in pablo and chelsea's yearbook, and I probably will in annie and toby's. I love it when people write a lot. It makes me smile, so I try to do the same! I'm so glad that my parents sent me to Holy Cross. No one from St. Joe's passed the math test, while everyone from Holy Cross did...so that says something about the school, and mrs wong in particular. I've met so many great people, friends and teachers, whom I'll never forget. You all have changed me for the better...

Well tonight was the annual 8th grade banquet. It was so nice. We walked in and saw all these table set very nicely, and there was a podium up front...very sophisticated lol. We ate a very yummy dinner of bread, salad, chicken cordon bleu, roasted potatoes, and green beens. For dessert we had either lemon merengue pie (sp?) or this chocolate cheesecake...both were very good. My step-dad couldn't make it because he was out of town, so my mom brought her friend Amy. So if my dad couldn't go, I'm glad she did cuz she and I are really close. She was actually the first person to hold me when I was born...the connection is just there lol.

After that, each student was assigned to give a tribute to a teacher/priest/faculty member in groups of two or three. Mine was too Mme Hunter...Nate and I had everything planned out perfectly. He was going to say this short French sentence towards the end and I would finish with "With love from the 8th grade class of 2005." But of course things didn't work out that way. The second I get up their, as I'm being handed the paper to begin reading from, he tells me that IM going to say the French thing. So at first I'm like "WHAT?!" (not that loud though) and so I just go and say it and it was all good...

After the tributes came the awards...So they had given about 6 awards and I still hadn't gotten one so I was like "oh well" but then I got one for science, then music, and then French, which was pretty cool. Toby and I were the only ones who got three awards. Woot for me and Toby, who finally decided shes going to St Dom's!!! Yay Toby! So a lot of people got awards which was nice. But now I have to wear all three medals at graduation and I jingle when I walk! Hey you guys can come to graduation if you want...its on Tuesday June 7th at 6pm at Holy Cross Church!

Then we watched the video. Omgosh it was so sad. We were all crying, surprise, and laughing with each other. It was such a nice video and I'm glad I got a copy. I think I'll watch it tomorrow night!

After that, we took pictures and walked over to Dairy Joy, which took forever! Oh well! It was a great night...Love you all class of 2005!

Oh and guess what! I got a letter from Johns Hopkins University CTY (Center for Talented Youth) and they said I received a scholarship for one course for one semester at University of Maine Farmington good now through August ot 2007! So I think I might take a college class next summer...I'm excited!

We'll I'm doing alright. Pretty tired. I have Canobie in the morning! Ttyl!
