Looong Weekend!* =o)
Hey, hey!* This weekend has been really great =o) Friday night I worked until 12, and then I came home and went to bed. Then today I got up at 7, to get ready for the pageant. We learned this rather...tiring fitness routine *lol*, then we learned our self-expression routine. We all ate lunch together, which was neat, and then we had our interviews. That was semi-nerve-wracking. But atleast Jessica and I know what "affirmative action" is *lmao*. They asked me about the things that I wrote down on my application, especially about broadcasting. After the interviews, we did our self-expression part, which was in front of the judges and whoever came to watch. Then we did our talent, which for me, was the scariest because I've never sang in front of anyone. I'll say it...I did good =o) *lol*. I sang Faith Hill and Tim McGraw - "Like We Never Loved At All." Then we did the fitness routine...omg, that was hilarious. I was laughing too hard to like make it look good *lol*, but I did it without running out of breath (All of those long nights at the gym! *lol*) and without passing out. All of the other girls were *so* sweet! I've encountered some not-so-nice girls in my pageant history *lol*, and these were just really sweet. And the best news...we all made it to state!!! =o) There were only 8 of us, and we weren't competeing against each other, we were each trying to earn the points we needed to go on to the state pageant, and we all got way above the required! Congrats Jessica, you did *great!* So, the last week of February, each of us stays with a host-family and then we have the state pageant for Virginia Junior Miss. I'm so excited! People who say pageants are stupid are misinformed *lol*.
After that I had to come home and get ready for work. I was like 15 minutes late, but whatever *haha*. Omg...the traffic at the mall was *awful!* Trying to pull into the parking lot was a mess, there were soooo many people! We were pretty busy too...there were just way too many people at the mall today *lol*. When I checked my messages on my break, I had a voicemail from someone I haven't heard from in a long time, which made me happy =o) And we have plans tomorrow after work! Wee! *hehe*. It was nice to finally talk to him =o) Aaanyway! Work passed like super-fast tonight, I guess because it was so busy. We ended up closing a little after 10 because there were still people in the store, and then we got out at like 11:50. I don't have to be back until 12:30 tomorrow, which is nice, so mom and I are going to breakfast tomorrow morning *hehe*. Then I only have to work until 6:30 =o) See, I do have a life outside of AE! *haha*.
I can't believe this weekend is already over. Granted, we haven't had school since Wednesday *lmao*, but I really don't want to go back. Oh well, atleast we get out early on Thursday, and then we're off for a week. I'd like to go see my dad and that side of the family on the day after Christmas, but I don't know if I can get off work. Argh...retail *lol*. I'm certainly going to try *lol*, especially considering I have to work on Christmas Eve.
Anyway, I'm off so that I can get some rest after my *long* and busy day! Night ya'll!*
