Just a correction: I'm not in that picture (as much as I would have loved to be there). That's John Davey (sailaorcartman on LJ).

Looks like you guys had a blast!

Sorry about that. I don't think I've been to a convention or road trip yet where I didn't screw up somebody's name.

I have no idea what could have possibly killed off so many of my brain cells.

I noticed that but didn't say anything because I thought it was hilarious and I'm a jerkface!

I used to have a standard disclaimer I posted at the top of every RockyCon picture page I posted; and for a week or so afterward, I'd be adding and changing names as people emailed me corrections.

I've never been good at names. I think I inherited that from my mother. She had seven kids, and she was constantly referring to us by the wrong names. (It wasn't so bad when she called me by one of my brothers' names, but I used to object strenuously when she used one of my sisters' names to call me. I'm not that bad; I didn't accidentally refer to John Davies as Ruth Fink-Winter, after all.)

the only thing funnier than referring to John Davey as Shawn Stutler would be to refer to John Davey as Ruth Fink Winter.

I am just as bad if not worse with names and faces, I honestly have no idea who anyone is ever, am so bad at matching faces to name and remember names. It's the reason I never introduce people and in general avoid calling people by their names. I've mastered the ability of pretending on remebering/knowing someone's name and conversing without having any idea who they are because my brain does not recognize faces or match them up to names very well at all. Generally, I know people for weeks or months before I can consistently remember names/faces together.

I'm the same the way, usually. In person, I rarely refer to anybody by name (not even when I know their name, because that would make it more noticeable when I don't use names for other people). It's just when I try to put captions under photos that I'm constantly screwing up. I just put up the pictures with no explanations or context and let people figure them out themselves. Maybe people viewing the pics could instantly tell exactly what scene it was and what is going on in every pic without captions…

I saw pics of a different Little Shop show once and in most of the pics I honestly could not tell who was playing what or what part of the show it was. Not exaggerating.

Occasionally, I see Rocky Horror pictures like that.

Speaking of Rocky Horror, as soon as I post the pictures from Help Me Mommy's show, I'll finally be finished that weekend's recap.
