for Daphne

Terry spent plenty of time in the library. Not only was it a wonderful place to get work done (so many resources!) but he was able to people watch to his heart's content.

Today he saw a girl his own age, who seemed to be reading over the same paper over and over again. It was intriguing to him, much more so than the obvious third years in the corner who were splitting up the work and sharing answers. Was she really that devoted? It didn't seem like she was studying for a test... no it seemed more than that. From what he could remember in class, she wasn't the brightest- certainly never seemed to be 'giving it her academic all'... If there was one thing about Terry Boot it was that he loved a good mystery.

After spending about three minutes watching her carefully, he finally decided that the curiosity was too much. So he picked up his books, and moved to the neighboring table- very nonchalantly- still cautiously watching her out of the corner of his eye. It was definitely a paper, one of her own in her hands, that she was reading over and over again.
