Daphne had been giddy all day since receiving Terry's owl. Things had seemed to be going perfectly since they had finally spoken.
As six approached, she put on one of her favorite red dresses with the black shoes she had picked out to pair with it. Once her hair had been re-curled with her headband put on, she made her way down to meet Terry. She couldn't keep the smile off of her face.
All week he hadn't been able to take his eyes off of her.
As he sat in class. As they sat in the Great Hall, at what seemed like a greater distance everyday. As they studied in the library. He knew that he could sketch her face with his eyes close, and he wasn't any sort of artist.
Terry waited outside of the Great Hall, a flower held in one hand at his side, and a packed bag in his other. He could still feel the warmth of the food he'd carefully wrapped... his mind still figuring out a good place to go... and then he saw her approaching him. Her smile lit up the entire hallway.
When Daphne saw him she had to keep herself from running straight into his arms. He looked so handsome there, waiting for her. She felt the butterflies in her stomach.
"Hi, there," she said, feeling the entire world fall away from them. It always seemed as if nothing else mattered when Terry was with her.
"Well, the way I see it we have a few choices," Terry began, starting to walk down the hall. "We could find a cozy classroom... go outside, though it's a bit dark out..." he trailed off, waiting for a reaction.
"Outside I can't see you very well...though we've always had the best luck out there," she mused, twirling the rose in her hands. It was getting rather cold out though.
"I'm sure we can find ourself an empty classroom?"
"Absolutely," he nodded, linking an arm through hers, his other carrying their bagged dinner. "Maybe we should explore a bit. I'm not quite starving yet anyway. What do you think?"
The idea of finding some romantic hidden area with Daphne was appealing.
"I rather like the idea. I don't think I've wandered the halls since I was a first year."
She remembered thinking the castle was so big and promised herself she'd open every door at least once. Though, a few months into her adventures, she realized how impossible it was - even for a witch.
"Let's go find ourselves the most secluded part of this school."
A broad grin broke out on Terry's face, as she quickly steered them towards the left. "Left again," he stated firmly, as the next turn quickly approached.
"Good thing I've got a Slytherin Princess on my arm, so no one will have the guts enough to say anything when you pull something like that," he laughed.
"We make a fierce team. Slytherin Princess and my Ravenclaw genius," Daphne said, proud to be seen with somebody to intelligent and handsome. He was right - nobody would dare say anything.

Terry mindlessly steered her through another right, and they were faced with many staircases, all moving of course.
