Five Song Friday

Oct 16, 2009 12:32

Every friday I will (try to) post links to 5 songs that I am the most into that week. New loves, old faves, happy, sad, whatever...

Five Song Friday

1) Aha! // Imogen Heap - A creepy, Burton/Elfman-esque song just in time for the Halloween season.

2) Somebody to Love // Leighton Meester (feat. Robin Thicke) - Finally, an official song from her. :D This is one of the albums I've been looking most forward too all summer and while I enjoy the bits sang by the kid of the guy who played the dad on Growing Pains I'm hoping the whole LP is more than just collabos.

3) Sideways // Citizen Cope - I think on of the many reasons why I love the blues is because sound-wise it's the most sensual of all the musical genres. It just puts pictures and feeling in your mind... emotions. Doesn't matter what the lyrics are saying cause once you hear that sultry riff of a blues guitar your caught in it.

4) Baby (You've Got What It Takes) // Michael Buble w/ Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings - I'm so happy 60's retro-pop is in style again. :)

5) Once Was Love // Ingrid Michaelson - After posting the angsty and the sexy I felt I should show some love to rocking pop. -- Yes more Ingrid, deal with it. :P
