Every friday I will (try to) post links to 5 songs that I am the most into that week. New loves, old faves, happy, sad, whatever...
Five Song Friday
1)
I'm Not That Girl // Idina Menzel,
I'm Not That Girl (reprise) // Kristin Chenoweth; Wicked OBC - I saw
Wicked last weekend with my sisters and niece (which BTW was wicked AWESOME) and ever since I've been listening to the OBC like gangbusters. Given my fondness for angsty tunes, I of course totally dug this song and it's reprise.
2)
For Good // Idina Menzel & Kristin Chenoweth; Wicked OBC -
I heart this song so SO much. It's such a girl-friend friendly song. I would've loved to have seen
the original players perform this one live. Totally would've made me cry too - not that I wasn't close the other day.
3)
Bad Things // Jace Everett - So besides techno swag, my new boy is also introducing me to
True Blood. He bought the 1st season for me to watch and so far I'm digging the 'vampire porn' as we like to call it. I'm also digging the theme song, though mostly for secret inside joke reasons. ;)
4)
Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground) // Michael Jackson - This isn't on here cause I'm still mourning the King of Pop (cause I'm not), this is on here cause it's just an awesomely great dance song that I totally had forgot about til someone reminded me of it.
5)
Helpless // Ryan Adams w/ Gillian Welch - My parent's had the
Neil Young original of this song on a 45 when I was a kid. It was one of my favorites of their collection and probably the one I played the most. While this isn't the best quality cover (hello clinking beer bottles) it's still faithful to original.
comments on taken are appreciated

PS - For those who've never grabbed it, I've also re-uploaded my
Firefly fanmix too.

Edit: The boy has put it on me to make a bedroom-friendly playlist for his iPod since most of his tunes come from the days of grunge. Usually I have no problem with this but love lust has made my brain do the wonky. Please send me your rec's or links to what you think is good mood making music. :D
