Some music samples

This "Adagio for strings" remixed by Bond is my cell phone's ringtone. I chose it for my cell ringtone because of its opening rhythmic drums beat. Did startle a few people, XD. But not as much as the "Phantom of the Opera" overture would, lol. It was my original candidate for my cell's ringtone, but I figured out that it would startle me. Another piece that I mentioned in my "Envy as the Phantom" post was "Wandering Child", and one other famous piece from this musical is "Music of the Night".

Some time ago I mentioned that lately I listen mostly to the musical "Starmania" and to the Secret Garden's album "Dreamcatcher". In fact, I liked "Starmania" so much that I started to embed its lyrics on some of the icons I made. This one, for example:
, features the lyrics from "SOS d'un terrien en detresse" (SOS of an Earthman in distress). And another one I like very much is "La chanson de Ziggy" (Ziggy's song). You see, when Ziggy was a little boy, his mom told him that when he grows up, he'll dance the part of Prince Charming in "The Sleeping Beauty". So while all the other boys of the neighborhood played football and hockey, Ziggy was taking ballet lessons. When he turned 15, his mom gave him the full collection of Tchaikovsky. So Ziggy ran to the disk store to return the CDs...and that was the day in which he met the first love of his life - his name was David Bowie...his music changed Ziggy's life, and Ziggy changed his name for him. (Ziggy Stardust, :D ). And another very good piece from the musical is "Quand on arrive en ville". Now, who's gonna tell me the exact translation of this? Is this the same as "quand nous arrivons en ville"?

Speaking of Tchaikovsky: for me, this pas de deux from "The Nutcracker" is the most beautiful piece that has ever been created. And just to keep it company, here is the overture of "Swan Lake".

Sound Garden's "Dreamcatcher": I was first triggered by it when I heard this "Adagio" in the movie "2046". The next day I was able to track their whole album shared by a gracious Russian blogger, and the rest was history. Here is another track from this album: "Moving"
