I truly believe that stress manifests itself as a knot somewhere on a person's body. Mine would be the base of my neck and just between my shoulders. It's rather painful and it makes sleeping uncomfortable.
I would like to pretend that I am unaware of the origin of this stress, or at the very least relate it to school, but that's an untruth. I know exactly what's bothering me and causing this knot to bind tightly within my muscles. What I honestly don't know is the cure for my pain. Whilst I think a good massage or a hot bath might loosen some of the tightness, I know that it will not aliveate the stress.
I'm tired of thinking. My head has a tendency to take over and I have this ability to over-analize to the point of madness. I think I'm going to let my mind have a much needed hiatus.
And in it's place, my heart. It has been far too long since I have listened to the beating of my heart and taken it in as serious advice. It has been a while since I have given in to desires and the hopes of passion.
Yes. I will listen to my heart and know that the decisions I will make in the next few days will be driven by my wants and needs and not clouded by reservations and analysis.
Sometimes, the decisions we make while listening to our hearts are the purest and most true decision one can make.
