(no subject)
this live journal post will be concerned with the subject of harry potter, as i'm sure a lot of posts will be around this time.
i just finished re-reading the sixth book which marks the end of my quest to re read the whole series before the new one comes out this saturday.
i went back to the lj post i made almost exactly two years ago when i first finished reading the 6th. and remarkably my feelings have not much changed.
i am annoyed that i invest so much energy into a series of books. it's really dumb. that being said, i'm still really upset that Dumbledore died. however, i don't actually hate JK Rowling as i said i did two years ago. i now understand that Dumbledore had to die according to the rules of the hero's quest. hopefully he will somehow not be completely gone at the end, but i'm not holding my breath.
i hope that the book that comes out this saturday makes this sadness left by it's predesessor go away. i am hoping for a happy and closure filled ending to a series that i have enjoyed for many years. i expect that's what i'll get.

ps. if anybody knows any spoilers, or if anyone reads the book in two seconds the second it comes out, please don't post anything about it on the internet. if anything is ruined for me, or anyone else for that matter, i will be upset. i know that to those who don't read the books all this hype seems dumb, and it kind of is, but calm down and just ignore it and let people have their fun.
