with 1.5 hours to boarding, so here i am blogging.
so dt has coached me on two of the most secret spots to visit on ile de la cité, which i will tell you about when i am good and ready. talking with him this morning, i realize i really have no idea what i am in for, which he assures me is as it should be. he's offered to be available for spur of the moment consultation on excursions, AND has authorized me to not study too much. !! i think my first visit outside the city will be this weekend (if the weather's fine) to chartres, where i'll try to walk this:
dt says i should also check out the well in the catacombs below, which dates from the 4thC. it's only an hour by train sw of paris.
for all of those whom i've been badgering to get skype (a tip of the soon-to-be-obsolete int'l calling card to yammerskooner!), go to their website and get those cheap $10 headsets - it's the best deal (and i'll be getting one shortly). dt and i went through best buy this morning looking for usb headsets and everything was ungodly expensive.
