Hey guys. It's been a while since my last update, but that's usually the case I suppose. I figured I'd update you all on my life...
I've changed my major again, but this is it! I've finally decided the purpose in my life. Since I threw up when I was interning at the hospital, I decided that the medical field wasn't for me. I have no idea how people can deal with all that blood and puss. NOT for me. Philosophy is also out the window. While I enjoy it, I realized that I'm not passionate about it. Creative writing isn't out the window, though. I've just downgraded that to a minor. I still plan on writing and am currently working on three books (I know that seems scatterbrained but I've just got so many ideas floating around in my head). I'm about a quarter of the way through "Karma." I've let a few of you read parts of it. It's the book about a girl who finds out that she has a huge destiny that will effect the entire Universe and has vampires, angels, demons, genies, and pretty much any crazy creature you've heard of. I'm also partially finished with what I've tentatively called "Nosferatu Academy," but that name definitely won't stick. I've been playing around with calling it "Shadowland" or "Shadowbox." That one is about vampire girl who has her memories stolen and how she goes about recovering and overcoming them. That one is my favorite one so far. I've also just started writing "Mer" which is about a girl who finds a strange half-dead guy floating in the ocean and how he is a merman (male siren). It's not very developed, but think of it as an aquatic Romeo and Juliet with a twist (as in, the guy can't talk to the girl when they're around water or else he'll drown her). It sucks on rainy days!
Haha, I kind of went off on a tangent there, but I hope you all will buy my books when they come out and support me while I'm writing them.
Back to my college major. It's called International Studies. Basically I'll use that to work for the state department at foreign embassies around the world. I'll probably end up in France or Japan, but English-speaking countries aren't out.
Other than that, I've just got my first apartment. It's pretty nice. One bed, one bath, and only five minutes from campus. My cat is pregnant so does anyone want a kitten? This will be her only litter because I'm getting her ass spayed as soon as the little rodents are born. The only other thing I've got going on is that I've been playing guitar and singing an awfully lot. I've got a few songs finished and hope to make a few more and maybe play live in a bar for a meager income. Since none of you have really heard me sing, you may be shocked. I started off letting my sisters hear me sing and they said I was pretty good (not fantastic but not something that'll make you want to cover your ears either). My little sister said I sounded like a mix of Tegan and Sara and a female Damien Rice...whatever that means.
All right, well hopefully this short story will tide you over for a few months or until something cataclysmic happens. Wish me luck with my endeavors!
XOXO
