Chapter 19

The next day, Frank awoke with a fresh state of mind. He and Jeph had continued to talk well into the night, during which time Frank had managed to fill Jeph in on all the details he had left out about Gerard, and himself and Gerard together. Jeph had been a little put-off at first. It was weirdly exciting to know about the sex they had, but Jeph was certain that having the look on Gerard’s face when him came, visually described to him was completely unnecessary. Also, Frank couldn’t do very good imitations.

Before Frank had fallen asleep, he had felt a little bad about telling Jeph so much of his and Gerard’s intimacy. He knew he wasn’t supposed to say anything to anyone anyway, but he had accepted that he broke that rule, what he felt bad for was that he had become quite personal. Some of the things that had happened between himself and Gerard, even things they had just said to one another, he thought were things he maybe should have kept to himself. He knew Jeph wouldn’t utter a single word to anyone about what had gone on, or what was still going on, he just felt like it was too much.

At least Jeph hadn’t really acted like it was and Frank was grateful for that. He didn’t need Jeph to screw his nose up and tell him he was sick or something as equally insulting. He needed Jeph to understand. It didn’t mean he had to condone it, or even like it, he just had to get it and he did, he understood completely. Frank hadn’t thought it was possible for Jeph to become a better person then he already was, -in his eyes at least- but he did and that had helped Frank realize that he could be a better person too if he tried hard enough and he was going to try. If not for Gerard then for his best friend and even if it wasn’t for his best friend, he would still be doing it for himself.

After showers and breakfast, Mark was escorting Frank to Mr. Way’s office. Mark hadn’t really mentioned anything to Frank about the mess he seemed to be in yesterday. He had asked Frank how he was feeling when he had come to the room earlier that morning, Frank just said he was ‘Really good, actually’ and he could tell Mark was glad to hear it because he never asked anything more.

There was a small spring in Frank’s step as he and Mark travelled through the empty corridor. He hadn’t noticed it, but it was there. He hadn’t noticed because he was too busy being distracted by what he was going to say to Gerard when he saw him. He knew that there was still a chance Gerard was mad with him and he was fine with that. He wasn’t going to retaliate, he had nothing to fight about. He had heard Gerard yelling after he left the man’s office yesterday and while it sucked at the time, Frank was glad he did it. He hoped Gerard had let a lot of his anger and frustration out on inanimate objects or simply through screaming, he just wanted them to be able to talk, which would hard if the room was still full with tension.

Mark knocked on Mr. Way’s door but there was no answer. The pair waited for a moment. Frank had mumbled to Mark something along the lines of Mr. Way ‘probably being asleep’, Mark just laughed a little, telling Frank he ‘wouldn’t be surprised’ before he knocked again, but still, no answer.

“Should I just go in?” Frank asked the guard, not really sure if he was actually aloud to be in there without his counselor or not.

It didn’t seem to bother Mark though. He just shrugged and said, “Sure” as he pushed open the office door.

Mr. Way was not in there. There wasn’t even a mug of coffee on his desk and Frank knew Gerard always had coffee during sessions. He thought that maybe Gerard wasn’t in today, but Mark soon proved that idea wrong by announcing, “Just wait in here, Frank. I know he’s here, he was in the lunch room early this morning.”

Frank nodded, taking a seat in the chair at the front of Mr. Way’s desk just watched the door as Mark walked away. His eyes fell to his lap and he indulged in the silence for a moment, letting out a deep breath just as someone opened the door again. Frank’s head shot up, but it was just Mark again.

“Don’t forget to wait for me kiddo, ‘kay?” He smiled, nodding his head and waiting for Frank to do the same.

Frank did. He shuffled in his seat, nodding and adding, “Yeah, sure.” Mark just smiled again before walking away.

Frank thought it was really strange being alone in Gerard’s office. He was fairly certain the last time he had been in here by himself was his first ever session, when Gerard had scared the shit out of him by dropping his books and papers onto the desk. He smiled a little as he remembered just how arrogant Gerard had been, he wouldn’t even allow Frank to correct him when he had said his last name terribly wrong. Frank then wondered if he knew how to say it yet. He would ask.

It was almost ten past nine and Frank was seriously beginning to think that Gerard was not coming to his office on purpose. As much as he hoped that wasn’t the case, he wouldn’t have been overly surprised. Jeph was right when he had said last night that Gerard probably didn’t know who to be when they were together, he was probably sitting in the tea room fighting with himself as to whether or not it was better to be Frank’s counselor or friend, or as Jeph had put it, more than a friend.

Frank doubted it though. To him, Gerard seemed like the type of person who could get his head around things pretty quickly. He didn’t know what the worse thing Gerard had ever had to deal with was, he assumed it was Mikey going to prison, but still he didn’t know and as much as this was a pretty fucked up situation, he was fairly sure that this was not the worst Gerard had ever had to cope with.

“Fuck!”

Frank jumped in his seat, turning to the door to find Gerard struggling his way inside. Cup of coffee in one hand, cell phone wedged between his fingers and piles of paperwork tucked under his arm. Without hesitation, Frank got up from his seat and rushed over to help his counselor. He took the mug of hot liquid out of his hand and carried it over to the desk as Gerard tucked his phone into his pocket, mumbling a ‘Thanks’, wiped his hand on his pants -which caused Frank to assume he had spilt coffee on himself- and closed the office door with a somewhat relieved huff.

Frank returned to his chair and Gerard did the same, dumping his paperwork on the desk and running a hand through his long hair, Frank couldn’t help but smile at just how flustered he looked. So far, he didn’t seem mad, just a little rushed, but Frank couldn’t be certain, he wasn’t too good at guessing things, he’d just have to wait for Gerard to speak.

“So, I told Mr. McKay we needed a new coffee machine in the kitchen because the one we have now takes like, fucking ...eighty-four years to make one cup of coffee. He failed to get one. I am not impressed.” Gerard looked up at Frank, his eyes wide and eyebrows arched. Frank thought it was a rather peculiar expression. It was as if he was waiting for Frank to agree with him, as if he was waiting for the teen to explain that he knew exactly how he felt.

Frank kind of smiled, unsure if it was okay to laugh or not and Gerard just looked away to pick up his mug of eighty-four year old coffee and sip at it.

“Plus, it tastes like gutter. Gutter coffee,” Gerard then said, pulling a face at the taste as his tongue flicked behind his teeth.

Frank smiled again. “There’s a coffee machine in the cafeteria. That doesn’t taste too bad.”

Gerard nodded, seemingly mostly to himself. “Oh really? You’ll have to show me where it is then.”

Frank just nodded in agreement and the two were silent for a moment. Frank was so relieved that Gerard seemed like he was prepared enough to talk to him today. He had primed himself that morning for the both of them to be a little more level-headed than yesterday so he really didn’t know how he would have reacted if Gerard was to just go off at him again. While it wasn’t the most comfortable silence ever, Frank was just happy they were both sitting in the same room. That was enough for now, he was sure of it. He was also sure that there were about a billion butterflies flapping around in his stomach. He recognized the feeling and he knew it wasn’t because he was scared, he was nervous. Schoolboy nervous.

“Anyway,” Gerard cleared his throat. “Frank, how you feeling?”

“Not too bad, thanks. How are you?”

Gerard pulled a face and rolled his eyes and if it wasn’t going to make Frank look like an idiot, he would have laughed. “Can’t complain, I guess.” He then shrugged.

They were silent again and Frank thought this session was definitely the strangest one they had had so far. Gerard was being so distant, but really not at the same time. It was like he was just being Frank’s counselor but also, trying not to forget what he really was. At first, Frank was a little disappointed that Gerard might’ve been sweeping everything under the rug, pretending they hadn’t happened, but Gerard seemed so relaxed and that was telling him otherwise. Frank was happy with that; he could go along with it. They were starting fresh, or at least, half-fresh.

“What’d you do last night?” Gerard asked, shifting forward in his seat.

“Ah…” Frank’s mouth hung open as he tried to remember, but when he did remember, he wasn’t so sure if he should tell Gerard what it was he had done. He quickly tried to pick himself apart for a plausible lie, but he didn’t come up with anything, it wasn’t as if there was really much to do in those rooms late at night. “…I talked to Jeph for most of the night, actually.” He said, nodding to himself, pleased with his honesty.

“Oh that’s good. Jeph’s a nice kid. What did you talk about?”

Frank was a little surprised with Gerard’s response, but it helped because he never hesitated before he simply answered, “You.”

Gerard didn’t look very affected by the answer and Frank instantly guessed that his counselor was probably expecting him to say that anyway. What Frank wasn’t expecting however was what Gerard said straight afterwards.

“Was it about how sexy I am?” He smirked.

Frank hummed in the back of his throat in a weak attempt to try to contain himself. He had not anticipated this. He honestly thought they would talk about the day before and topics revolving around Nick. After the weekend, Frank doubted he would ever see the old Mr. Way again, they were past tip-toeing around each other and saying somewhat inappropriate things, but now, it seemed pieces of Mr. Way were leaking through again and Frank loved it.

“Maybe. I can’t tell you,” Frank said, really trying to hold a straight face.

“You can’t tell me?” Gerard questioned, seeming a little shocked. “You have to tell me. We can’t keep secrets, Frank.”

Frank held his straight face. He was actually finding it rather easy to be serious. “I’m not keeping any secrets. I’m just, concealing information.”

“Concealing information?” Gerard raised his eyebrows, the repetition of Frank’s words both questioning and teasing the teen at the same time.

“Yeah.” Frank confirmed.

Gerard scoffed. “Well, concealing information is the same thing. It’s included. It holds the same definition as keeping secrets.”

Frank pulled a face in disagreement. “No it doesn’t.”

“Yes it does.”

“No it doesn’t.”

“Frank…” Gerard stared wide-eyed at the teen. “…it does.”

Frank tried not to smile as he leaned forward in his seat and mimicked his counselor’s expression. “Gerard, it does not. If I were to be keeping a secret, I wouldn’t have told you that Jeph and I were talking about you in the first place, but I did tell you that. By not telling you what it was that we said in specific, that’s only concealing information, as I said before.”

Gerard let out a deep breath as he squinted at Frank. “Don’t be smart. Don’t do that.” He said, though there was no spite in his voice. It was more like a plea, coated in sarcasm.

Frank didn’t say anything back to him. He was still trying to get over the fact that Gerard was even acting the way he was. He didn’t think Gerard was going to simply forget about their session yesterday, or what had happened with Nick. It was too easy. If Gerard had managed to be as angry as he was yesterday and then just pretend like it never happened, it almost made him appear crazy. Frank could now tell he was acting like this on purpose and he wasn’t looking forward to where it was going to go.

Silence lingered around them for longer than what both of them probably found comfortable. Frank was staring intently at Gerard as the older man sipped at his coffee and seemingly thought about something stressful. By the expression on Gerard’s face as he briefly rubbed at his temples, Frank could have kicked himself for thinking earlier that they were trying to start again, if not from the beginning, then at least somewhere in the middle. Now he was starting to believe that they were still sitting on the edge, hanging by the last thread. He hoped he was wrong, but he just couldn’t help but to think he was right.

Gerard let out a deep breath and glanced up at Frank who at that very moment could’ve sworn he felt something inside of himself break. Gerard’s eyes had seemed contrite, but the way he shook his head as he look down at himself countered that, so Frank instantly prepared himself to be scolded again.

“I’m sorry, Frank.” Gerard then said, his voice low and delicate.

Frank couldn’t believe his ears. His eyes widened at Gerard, but Gerard wasn’t looking at him. He was fiddling with his pen. Frank could have only guessed that he was worried. It wasn’t like Gerard to act like this at all and Frank was completely taken aback. He couldn’t fully understand why Gerard apologized to him, he should be the one apologizing. He was the one that had fucked up, not Gerard, at least in his eyes.

He then thought about what Mark had told him yesterday, about Mr. Way telling the guard they had had a bit of a disagreement. Frank had told him otherwise, he didn’t want Gerard to get in trouble off of his boss, maybe he did anyway? Maybe Mr. McKay had told him to apologize for kicking him out and that he needed to start conducting his counsel sessions properly? Frank couldn’t be sure, but he felt terrible. He didn’t want to see Gerard like this. As strange as it may have seemed, Frank thought he would prefer it if Gerard had yelled at him, at least that way he had control of what he was doing and saying, rather than doing and saying something because he had to.

Frank’s brow furrowed, his face was a mix of emotions and even he wasn’t sure what they all were. “Gerard, no.” He said plainly, his hand mindlessly reaching out in front of him. “You don’t need to be sorry.”

Gerard looked up at him, settling his pen on the desk. He closed his eyes briefly and Frank couldn’t help but notice just how worn out he looked. Frank didn’t know what had kept the man up at night, but the bags under his eyes were evident now that they were just staring at each other. He hoped this wasn’t all because of him. He hoped Gerard hadn’t been so stressed with everything that had gone on over the last few days that he wasn’t even capable of resting.

“Yes I do, Frank.” Gerard said, firmly. “I need to be sorry and I am.”

Frank shook his head, raising from his chair a little and shuffling himself closer to his counselor’s desk. “No. No. It’s my fault. I wa-”

“Frank…” Gerard interjected, raising a hand to indicate for him to stop. “…I shouldn’t have spoken to you like I did yesterday. It wasn’t fair.” He paused and looked all over Frank’s face, seemingly trying to find out if he was still listening.

Frank was seated right at other side of the desk, his elbows rested on its surface as he just watched Gerard try to explain himself. Gerard leaned further forward in his seat and Frank’s stomach should have flipped, but it didn’t. He could tell his counselor was just trying to get his point across.

“You’re not a child, Frank.” Gerard leaned back again and smiled gently.

Frank smiled back, dipping his head a little but not breaking eye contact with the man in front of him. Then Gerard quickly added, “And you’re definitely not nauseating.” He smiled again, only this time it was a lot wider.

Frank laughed a little, brushing his hair out of his face. “Thank you.” He said, sincerely and Gerard just gave him a short nod.

The two simply watched each other for a moment. Staring seemed like the safest option right then; it was as if neither of them knew what was okay to say or do to one another. Frank was glad Gerard was saying sorry for himself, he could tell he wasn’t saying because he had to, he was saying sorry because he wanted to and as much as Frank still didn’t find it necessary, he thought that they had finally reached even plains again, or almost.

“I’m sorry too, Gerard. I really am.” Frank looked solemn and he hoped Gerard could see that he really fucking meant it.

He knew there was a lot more he needed to say than a simple ‘sorry’, whether or not that was even going to be enough for Gerard, it didn’t matter; there was more he wanted to say. He wasn’t going to let this new attitude he had gained from Jeph fall to the wayside, but he wasn’t about to go into some rant right now about how he knows he can change. He would wait until Gerard brought it back up or when the time seemed fit. There was only so much honest talk Frank could do in one day. He thought that maybe he had done enough for now.

“I know, Frank.” The older man nodded, smiling again as he began shifting the mess of paperwork and junk on his desk off to the sides. “Come here.” He jutted his chin forward, his fingertips tapping the surface in front of him.

Frank smirked and that was when his stomach did flip. He got up out of his seat slowly and made his way around to the other side of his counselor’s desk, knocking the hood of his jacket that was placed over his head off and feeling one of Gerard’s fingers curl into his belt loops when he was in arms reach. Gerard pulled him over a little quicker, then grabbing his hips, he helped Frank raise himself up onto the desk.

Gerard’s hands ran lightly over Frank’s thighs as he bit down on his bottom lip and pulled himself forward in his chair, coming so close as to have his chest resting between the teen’s knees. He looked up at Frank and his arm movements stilled, dropping them down from Frank’s lap and taking a hold of his ankles instead.

“This is hard for me, you know?” He then said, as he stopped biting his lip and let his fingers slip up under Frank’s pants, tracing small patterns on the backs of his calves.

Frank’s legs kicked out a little at the feeling and he smiled. “What is?”

Gerard took a deep breath. “Trying to teach you the right things when all I can do to you, is the wrong things.” He looked up at Frank and though Frank could tell he was being serious in what he said; he could still see that Gerard knew the situation was a little different. “I just feel like a hypocrite.”

“Well, there’s no need for you to feel that way. I’m not leading by your example, Gerard.” Frank told him.

“I know. To us it’s not the same thing, but you see my point, right?” Gerard pulled his hands back out from under Frank’s jeans and brought them up to rest on his knees.

Frank smiled and nodded. He knew what Gerard was trying to say, it had crossed his mind before, a number of times in fact, but it wasn’t something he would ever use against Gerard. Regardless of what went on between them, Frank still had issues of his own that needed solving. For Gerard, just because it was wrong of him to sleep with Frank, -and if they continued to do so- did not void everything the teen had done in the past.

Gerard was the hypocrite in the situation and not only that, he had allowed Frank take part in something that was completely against the law. Technically, he did not have the right to preach about what Frank should and shouldn’t do, whether outsiders knew or not, they were sitting in the same boat. Frank knew this was the situation, he had known it all along, but that didn’t mean he had to see it like that, which was a good decision on his behalf. He knew Gerard was breaking rules, but he was still the only person Frank believed he could learn from.

Gerard’s hands began to travel up Frank’s thighs again, reaching his back and letting his fingers glide under Frank’s shirt, along the small of his back. Frank then stretched his legs out, wrapping them around his counselor’s body and pulling him in closer, causing him to come up from his seat a little. Their eyes met as Frank’s hands slowly moved up onto Gerard’s shoulders, lingering there a moment before his fingers twisted in the ends of his hair. Frank could feel his counselor’s breath fall on his lips as they slowly brought their faces together and just as their noses touched, their lips grazing one another’s, Gerard sighed and pulled away.

“Fuck!” Gerard sat back in his chair, hiding his face in his hands and then continuing to repeat the word quietly to himself.

Frank just stared at him for a moment, unsure of why he had pulled away from him. His stomach was twisting in knots and he thought that Gerard was seriously reconsidering continuing what they had almost started. He had never done this before. He had never pulled away from kissing Frank. It was such a small gesture, but Frank knew it meant so much. Maybe that was why Gerard couldn’t do it, Frank thought. Maybe there couldn’t be meaning anymore?

“Gerard?” Frank said softly.

Gerard looked up and the pair just stared at one another blankly for a moment before Gerard finally said,

“It’s not right, Frank. I feel guilty. I just feel like I’m fucking this all up for you.”

Frank sighed. Gerard shouldn’t be worrying like this, he thought. It was his job to worry, not Gerard’s. If Gerard didn’t want to do this because he didn’t think it was right, then Frank was sure everything was going to end right there. He understood why Gerard felt guilty. He understood how the older man could have thought that this was fucking things up for him. He understood it all, but that was why it was so hard to fight it because Frank knew where he was coming from.

Gerard wasn’t saying these things for no reason. All the reasons he would come up with if Frank asked him to, would be valid. Frank knew that there was nothing he could say to just make this right. He couldn’t change his counselor’s perspective by just rambling a few words. But he could make it better, or at least, he could try.

“Gerard,”

“Don’t, Frank.”

Frank pursed his lips and lightly kicked his counselor’s knee. “Gerard, just hear me out, okay?”

Gerard looked up at him again, rubbing his face and shuffling in his seat. He nodded and Frank nodded back. He needed to say this. He hadn’t thought of it before because he had never thought Gerard would ever get like this. He could only pray what he was about to say was going to make sense and hopefully Gerard would come around. If not all the way then at least a bit of the way.

“Okay. I know…I know what you’re saying, Gerard. I understand completely. What you said to me yesterday may not have been fair, but neither is thinking that you’re fucking me up. I’m seventeen, and like you said, I’m not a child. I’m old enough to know better and I do know better. I always have. That doesn’t always mean I choose the better option though.” He stopped a moment and took a breath. Gerard didn’t say anything. He just nodded again, his chin rested in his palm and Frank then continued.

“While in the eyes of the law I may be a child, we both know that I’m not. I’m capable of making my own decisions and therefore, I should be capable of dealing with the consequences. I don’t need you, or any other person to tell me that what I did was wrong. I already know. I don’t want you to think that you are making this any harder for me because you are definitely not. If anything, you make it easier. It’s got nothing to do will you yelling at me and it’s got nothing to do with you taking me to visit your brother. It’s just you.”

He stopped again and looked at Gerard who now had a small smile playing on his face. Frank only had one more thing left to say. He never thought he would say anything like it, but he had to let Gerard know that wasn’t just about sex either. He needed Gerard understand that even if he was no longer willing to have that kind of relationship, then Frank was still willing to listen. Even if he was just a friend, or even just a counselor, it didn’t matter. Frank already felt like he had lost Gerard yesterday, he didn’t want to feel like that again.

“If you want us to stop, Gerard, then fine. I’ll hate it, but I’ll deal with it because I don’t want you to feel this way.” Frank looked down at his feet that were softly kicking into the space below him.

From the corners of his eyes, Frank could see Gerard shifting closer to him and he mentally prepared himself as much as he could to hear Gerard say that, ‘Yes’, he wanted them to stop. He didn’t know how he was going to take it. He would probably end up a mute for the rest of his life, he thought, or at least, that’s what he thought at that moment. Eventually, he would get over it, he knew he would, but that didn’t mean it wouldn’t hurt right now or for an indefinite amount of time afterwards.

“Frank…” Gerard said as he stood from his chair, placing his index finger under Frank’s chin and lifting his head. Frank’s face lacked any kind of emotion, but he was certain Gerard would be able to tell as clear as day that he was not liking this at all. “…I just don’t want to give you the wrong idea.”

“Can you just say yes or no?” Frank looked as calm as his voice. He was not going to become worked up over this in front of Gerard; it would only contradict everything he had just said. He didn’t know what Gerard needed to hear for him to just understand that he was going to be okay. He may not have even needed to hear anything, he may have already known. Which really wouldn’t have surprised Frank, Gerard seemed to know just about everything else.

“I don’t want us to stop.” Gerard then said and Frank’s whole body was probably in shock. “I just want to know that you completely understand the position that I’m in.”

Frank let his eyes fall shut briefly as he sighed and he took a hold of one of Gerard’s hands. “I do. I told you that.”

Gerard squeezed Frank’s hand in his and smirked. “Good. That means we can get naked and dirty my desk and you can’t blame me for anything, ever.”

Frank laughed and his legs wrapped around his counselor’s hips, pulling him closer. “You are probably the worst counselor in the history of counselor’s, Mr. Way.” He smiled as he let leaned forward and let his hands travel over Gerard’s ass and down the backs of his thighs.

Gerard smirked and placed his hands on Frank’s hips as he leaned down to rest his face in the crook of the teen’s neck, inhaling his scent before placing a row of soft kisses on his skin. “I love how you smell.” He mumbled, his mouth travelling up along Frank’s jaw line.

Frank tilted his head to the side a little. “What do I smell like?” He asked, letting his eyes fall shut as his legs tightened around Gerard’s hips, pulling the older man even closer to him as he pushed himself forward on the desk, then only just able to grind slowly against Gerard’s crotch.

Gerard continued to place small kisses along Frank’s jaw as he followed his movements, pushing himself between the teen’s legs and then dragging his mouth back down to his neck again. “Cheap soap and warm jumpers.” He answered, as tongue ran along the tattoo on Frank’s neck before he began to suck gently at the skin.

It wasn’t as if Frank should have been all that surprised by his counselor’s sudden frame of mind change. He was Gerard after all, and Frank thought that entailed knowledge, sarcasm, probably the best smile ever, a little bit of logic and lack of self-control. He knew Gerard was serious in what he said; he had wanted Frank to know that he was aware what he was doing was wrong, but that didn’t make every other wrong right. However, Frank also knew that Gerard could have gone on about it forever, explaining how exceptions surrounded their circumstance, but burning someone’s hands, was not and act off affection. He could have made his point in a thousand different ways, but he never really cared about it as much as it seemed he did.

Gerard’s lips began travelling up under Frank’s chin, his breath cool over the skin his tongue left wet. Frank took in a deep breath as he pushed harder against Gerard’s crotch, tipping his head back and in one swift movement, the older man’s hand rushed up his back, fingers locked in his hair and their mouths pressed together. Frank instantly moaned gently into sudden contact. He felt like the was the first time he and Gerard had ever even touched. It hadn’t even been two whole days since Frank and Gerard had shared their last kiss, but for Frank, that seemed liked forever. He hadn’t realized until realized until that moment how incredible it felt to just be kissing Gerard, all his blood was just rushing to his face.

Their mouths opened against one another’s; breathing in the hot air surrounding their faces. Soft noises escaping them were sketchy and faint and has they hardly pulled away from each other, their eyes opening, locking on one another’s briefly with heavy lids. Words would have decorated the moment perfectly, but neither of them spoke, instead Frank pressed his lips to Gerard again and let his eyes fall shut.

Frank thought it was a little risky if they were to fuck in the office, he also thought Gerard didn’t care too much about that as the older man’s hands fell flat onto the surface and he began pushing Frank down, climbing on top of him. Frank gripped at Gerard’s hips, their mouths still connected and his breaths became heavier. He bucked up, grinding against the older man again and humming in the back of his throat as he felt Gerard pushed down, needing the action just as much.

Gerard’s hand began to slide down Frank’s chest, lifting the hem of his shirt and then slipping inside his pants as his tongue glided along Frank’s bottom lip. Gerard smirked as Frank breathed out. He pecked the side of Frank’s mouth and began to kiss at his neck again as his hand continued to rub the teen’s growing erection. His movements were slow, yet forceful and despite the various items of stationary digging into his back, Frank’s head was in the clouds…well almost, if it wasn’t for a knock at the door.

Frank’s eyes shot open and Gerard removed his mouth from Frank’s collarbone, eyes just as wide as he looked down at the boy. Frank didn’t move for a moment, half waiting for someone to fly through the door and half waiting for Gerard to tell him he accidently kicked the desk drawers, or something that could create a similar sound, but all Gerard said was, ‘Fuck’, his hand retracting from Frank’s pants and he quickly climbed off the desk.

“Get up, get up.” Gerard rushed as he grabbed Frank’s hand and yanked him off the surface.

The pair attempted to straighten themselves out a little, faces still in slight panic when the knock sounded again. They hurried even more, stepping around each other’s feet, maybe even jumping on the spot a couple of times. Frank didn’t even know where the fuck he was supposed to go, his thoughts weren’t functioning rationally enough to force him back to his seat and Gerard was scurrying around his desk, attempting to pick up all the items that they had knocked off.

“Just a sec.” Gerard then called out, making a face at Frank, indicating for him to hurry up and sit the fuck back down.

Frank nodded quickly with a little jolt, darting back to his chair and pushing it further away from Gerard’s desk than what was probably necessary before sitting down. Gerard was piling up some folders that had fallen to the floor and he quickly stood up, throwing them onto the desk and getting back into his seat as he brushed his hair out of his face and said, “Yeah, come in.”

In that instant, the door creaked open and Mark popped his head inside, smiling at the pair as they tried looking inconspicuous. “Sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt, but it’s ten o’clock.” The guard said, stepping a little further inside.

Gerard turned in his chair and looked up at the clock behind him. “Oh, so it is.” He smiled. “Guess we got a bit carried away.”

“Well, that’s always a good thing, right?” Mark said as he placed his hands on his hips and if Frank brain was even half working he would have noticed that the man seemed a little proud of him, probably through assumption that the pair were finally starting to sort some things out.

Frank tried to hide his face as Gerard just nodded. “Always.” He said.

“Okay, you ready then, kiddo?” Mark chirped, giving Frank a pat on the back.

Frank looked up. “Ah, yeah. Yeah.” He said; getting up from his seat and trying to make eye contact with the guard, still a little paranoid that signs Gerard had been all over him were covering his face. He looked at Gerard who, of course, was smirking at him. “See you tomorrow, Mr. Way.” He said almost at the door.

Gerard raised a hand, not actually moving it. “Bye, Frankie.”
