[Inaba] [November 5th, Thursday][After School]
[So last night was the big meeting with Clarent. Naoki got caught up to speed by a rather irate Isao, and has managed to discern three very important details. First detail: She deceived them, and is likely doing it again. Second detail: They need some combat training. Third detail: ... he'll think about the third one a little longer.
He's just run into a dead-end regarding the second detail. The training ground that first came to mind seems like a really bad idea, but where else are they supposed to go? Doing anything with weapons or monsters out in the open seems like painting a gigantic bulls-eye on them to whatever agency might or might not exist. What if Clarent is lying to them again and they just compromise themselves by being stupid enough to believe her? He doesn't even care about Ageha, although the Yggdrassil stuff is an unpleasant thorn.
The team has been assembled in one of Inaba's vacant lots. There's a fenced in patch of long grass with a small hut made out of discarded construction material. One of Naoki's many hidden bases. It's a little inconvenient, but it's not public either.
Oh right. Third detail: No matter what happens, Naoki's not going to kill a person, not even an evil scientist, for Clarent. That's the one that's got him in a foul mood now.]
