[Okay, so. There's at least one murderer on the loose, and somehow, they must be found! To further this goal, Keigo has managed to wheedle his way into a position where he's free to roam about Junes today, assisting customers throughout the store. He's keeping his eyes open for suspicious activity... not that he has the slightest clue just what the ( Read more... )

['Sup investigation buddy. He's grabbing groceries, as a cover. And, because he needs to eat and all.]

How's it goin', kid?

[Sup dawg?]

Hey, Isao... um, in a word, pointless. I don't even know what I'm looking for.

I figured you wouldn't. To be honest, I don't really have a much better idea. [He shakes his head.] Honestly, I don't know why you're even involved. There's not a lot you can do to help. No offense.

Yeah, none taken. How is anyone supposed to find people in a city this big that are just 'suspicious?' The only way this would possibly work is if we set a trap of some sort, but what the hell would the bait be?

Settin' a trap... [He scratches his chin.] You might be onto somethin'. Still, anything in the last couple days?

Not a thing. I see people that I think are acting suspicious, then I wonder what made me even think that. About the only thing that's really come out of this is me losing some sleep.

A trap, that's the best idea I can think of, but bait is just... nearly impossible. We'd have to leak that some sort of 'Persona user' is open and vulnerable or something and hope the target or targets see it.

That might not be as hard as you think. I'm gettin' the feeling there's a whole hell of a lot more of us than I originally suspected.

[He sighs.] We're goin' to have to get everyone together and talk, before you wind up gettin' killed over somethin' you don't understand.

A lot of you persona people, huh? God, and my sister had to get caught up in this...

Hey, shed some light for me. In small, simple words. Just what the hell is a Persona?

...I can do that. The question is, can you not think I'm completely insane if I give it a shot?

Dude, after how freaky Wednesday was, I'm ready to believe.

I'll give you a more fancy explanation for it later, but...

Sometimes, when bad shit goes down, people crack and start talkin' to themselves. Really crazy people even hear things back. An' then some of us instead of gettin' a voice in our heads, get the ability to call up things that can punch holes in walls or set fire to people.

[He's practically daring you to tell him he's crazy, with that look.]

[...well he's not going to say it.]

So you... can cause a lot of havoc because the voices in your head say you can do it?

[Wait until you get your own. Then who will be crazy?]

It's not a voice. It's actually visible, when being used. Look, I told you, shit sounds insane. But... well, your own sister can back me up on this.

[Rest of his days in an asylum, buddy.]

You can, manifest these, uh, abnormal thoughts? Like as another person? And then they punch holes in walls and set things on fire?

You're gettin' it. Look, I'll give you a demonstration some time, assumin' you don't just run the fuck away after hearin' that. Trust me, this is why I don't like bringin' in people who haven't already stumbled into it. There's no way to talk about this without soundin' like I'm some kind of violent crazy person.

[Rubbing his forehead.]

The fact that you admit this is... implausible helps me believe you. But, hold on, how does this work? How's any of this for real? If I didn't know better I'd seriously say you and the other guys at that meeting are just pulling my leg now.
