Rikakai Dai is the champion school for 2006 winning 40 points from the winning entries. Seigaku was the next closest school with 35 points. I'll post full rankings later on.
Judges and Voters both agreed on first place for this stunning entry.

This entry was outstanding for its colour, among everything else! The subdued tones gave it a wonderful, mysterious yet dynamic feel...very Rikkai! Your style is very distinctive and interesting, and everyone is uniquely rendered. I love Jackal and Sanada especially... Jackals abs are fantastic. I really like the way everyone in the composition are connected, too... it's beautifully constructed. Wonderful work!

I love this entry, so much. Mizuki's expression is fabulous! I really like the colours and the serene feel… a fantastic use of natural medium and a real sense of something happening in the picture. I'm just dying to hear what Mizuki and Yuuta are talking about! I'm pretty sure a Christian monk wouldn't wear an Atsushi-style banner round his forehead, but as far as I'm concerned that only enhanced the picture... it made for a really interesting and captivating composition!
Voters tipped their hats to Atobe as King!

Beautiful style and colouring. A fresh look.
The first thing that took me aback when seeing this entry was the fantastic colours. I really love the bright and clean feel, and the rendering on the hair especially. It really makes them very solid and pleasing to look at! Great detail on the clothinng, too! The only criticism I had is that I wanted to see a little more of the background, and the digital pattern used up the top detracted a little from the 'historical' feel... but that's just me being nitpicky. Still a bold, charming and delightful entry with a great distintive style.
Seigaku Nursery won Judges hearts:

Eiji and Oishi nearly sent me into a diabetic coma from the sugary cuteness. Very nice idea. It's a little bland as far as composition. I'm surprised all the babies aren't in tears from the sight of Inui's 'baby juice'. XD
Adorable, brilliant - so much SeiRu love... adorable! And the Atobe portrait! XD Yanagisawa looking at the cake while everyone else worried about Yuuta... <3
That was just...too cute. I love the pictures, and the way that everyone except Yanagisawa is so shocked at Yuuta's predicament.
Omi won praise from both the Judges and the Voters.

This was a lovely doujinshi. The lines were smooth and clean and the anatomy was almost perfect. Well done.
... found it's self in first place!

I read this story three times - I enjoyed it that much. Your writing is beautiful; you're able to convey feeling and motivation with all your characters without having to rely solely on dialogue to do it. Excellent story and characterization.
Judges Said:
You have written a really beautiful story. I adored how you characterized Eiji; you portrayed his emotions so well that I truly felt with him all the way throughout the fic. This insight into Eiji’s feelings makes him a round and lovable character. Also, it comes clearly across why he develops this plan of training to be closer to Oishi and why he is hurt when the plan doesn't work out. That makes a wonderful plot. Additionally, I really enjoyed reading the dialogue between Eiji and Oishi and your vivid descriptions of what is happening in general. Reading your story was lovely time spent.
Voters' chimed in support for my favourite pairing (I didn't vote BTW!)

You brought out the theme well. The words read comfortably, and the story really was intense. I really felt for Gakuto, and it seems to give a different perspective on the Oshitari/Gakuto relationship
Everyone was in agreement on this masterpeiece.
Judges Said:
Wow, this is long! But your pacing and build up was good. It was a fic I couldn't stop reading. I liked how you built up the Kajimoto's backstory (how he ended up playing tennis and his progress) and relationships with his grandparents, Hanamura and other team-mates. It gave the story a more realistic edge to it. And you've certainly helped me read Wakato in a different light. I always found him rather arrogant and egoistical. Compared to some other fics which focuses mostly or all focuses on the main character(s), you have managed to include the entire team along with some other characters, and still focus on the main pairing. Good job!

When Naval Adventure popped up in my email box I was immediatly taken with it. I loved the colours, dark and yet colourful at the same time. I really liked the 'smudgey' feel (not a real art word!) I thought that if I had seen it in real life it might be a pastel work.
Above everything I felt that you really had your own style of drawing and that the characters' faces were really emotive.
Hiyoshi! Never knew I could be so interested in what was happening in his head.
I really enjoyed your take on obsession and the awkwardness between Hiyoshi and Atobe. Just scraping in on the NC-17 I found it refreshing.
Thank you.
