dear friend,
i figured it was time for a real update.
things out here have been going well, alittle boring at times, but well. the drama never ceases in my work life, and well, right now it is just stupid crap, so i am avoiding it at all costs. this weekend is our first CX weekend. i'm so excited! cant wait to show all the little high school kids how wierd and dorky i am. i just do it so well :) but office hours do have they're occasional fun time. and boring times.
class is going decent, no grades below an 83 yet, and we've watched 2 movies-a clockwork orange, and one flew over the cuckoo's nest, and tomorrow we are watching a beautiful mind. and by now you are asking, what class is she taking? general phsyc kids, and its very interesting. and why during the summer? cause the school is paying for it cause i am working for them. go team go.
on to other events. birthday was nice and relaxed. i had to do tours over on harborside in the morning, and then i went to the beach with sean and his parents. we were there for only 3 hours, and it was cloudy and cold. and sean still managed to get a sun burned, and i got no color what-so-ever. then we went to dinner at smokey bones and went to the mall for a bit. sean's dad bought the new coldplay cd and sean burned it onto his computer, and i put it on my computer. AND IT ROCKS MY SOCKS OFF. you know what else rocks my socks off? the fact that jason mraz has a new album coming out on july 26th :) i love his new song 'wordplay'. eeeeeeeeeeee. i cant wait.
ok, so back to my birthday. sean got me the 3rd season of ER on dvd. i just successfully completed watching the entire thing last night. go team. i kinda was nervous that my parents got it for me. then we went over to nicholas' apartment, had a little campfire, roasted some hot dogs and made smores and stayed the night there. came back in the morning and my dad came to visit. but he forgot to get the ER dvd, so all was good. they did get me the 8th season of M*A*S*H, which i have also completed. yes, i have been very bored lately. so the birthday was good.
mom went in for surgery a couple days before my birthday, she ended up missing graduation at moppet school...hopefully everything went well, cause neither of us were there. oops. first year i havent been there since my mom started working there. but we all have to move on sometime, right? and mom's doing well, she even has her own cell phone now...if she could only learn how use it.
friday i went to six flags, the hall did it as a program, and it was freeeeeeeeeeeeee! well, for us at least. are you still reading this? i should probably stop writing now...i know you aren't. but i'm gonna keep going. so i went and hung out with sean, becky, monica, dave ("guzik"), abby, jason ("lifer"), and steve ("smazz" or "smalls"~yes, nicknamed after smalls from the sandlot). We had a WICKED lotta fun. i went on all the good roller coasters including superman, and batman rides.
dave and i spent too much money on games.
smazz was like a little kid.
sean got sunburned again.
we all wondered about smazz and abby.
life was grand.
i wish we could all do it again, and that some more people from the school year were here.
well, off to lindsay's apartment for a while
