Questionnaire for Northern-Tradition Devotional Practices
This book, co-authored by Galina Krasskova and Raven Kaldera, will be a compendium of the private home-based devotional practices of all Northern-Tradition religionists - Heathens, Asatru, Forn Sed, Northern-Tradition Pagans, Norsefolk, etc. Since we'd like as much of it as possible to be in the words of the people who actually worship the Northern Gods, we would like to see interviews from as many folk as are willing. Please email all questionnaires to Galina Krasskova at tamyris at earthlink.net. Deadline is March 1, 2008.
Questions:
1. Legal name, name you'd like in the book (can be anything), mailing address, email address
2. How do you define yourself?
3. What was your birth religion?
4. Please tell us a little bit about your religious landscape/history.
5. What Gods or wights do you work with, have an affinity for, and/or revere?
6. Are you part of a religious community and if so, how has this affected your devotional practices?
7. How do you define devotional practice?
8. Is some form of devotional practice part of your spiritual life? If so, describe it. If you have any prayers or songs that you use regularly, would you be willing to enclose them as well?
9. Do you feel devotional practice is important to the development of your religion? Why or why not?
10. How does your religion figure in your personal ethics in day-to-day life? (e.g. hospitality, courtesy, making promises, etc.)
11. What impact do you think the spread of personal devotional practice will have on the Northern Tradition religious communities?
