Home to the Percy family, more latterly the Dukes of Northumberland, the castle (pronounced An-ick) is famous for two Harry's - Harry Potter of course, and more importantly Harry 'Hotspur' Percy, he of Shakespeare's Henry IV Part I fame, who was killed at the battle of Shrewsbury in 1403. This is a view from the Lion bridge over the River Aln.
