SO EXCITED I TOOK A PICTURE!
GANTZ IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG *done hyperventilating* Holy shit was Nino hot and the movie itself was pretty damned good. Of course the fiancé didn’t think so b/c he knows a lot more about the story than I do, but shit. IT WAS NINOMIYA KAZUNARI. THE OTHER MAN OF MY DREAMS. He was damned sexy in the suit just like we all thought and his facial expressions during the movie were just GOLD.
Nino!English before the movie was sooooooooooooo adorable.
One complaint: THE DUBBED SUCKED. Seriously. It was gay. LITERALLY. A lot of the scenes between Kei and Kato sounded like lover scenes and at certain points many in the theater were like “JUST KISS ALREADY” b/c the male voice actors just made them sound so gay. The voice actor for Nino’s “girlfriend” said manga incorrectly despite being a manga artist yet Nino’s voice actor said it correctly. She kept saying it wrong which caused so many lulz in the theater. Nino’s voice actor also said “Fodder” instead of “Father” and I was like “So Kei is like Jewish now or something? WTH?” XDD What the…. I have ANOTHER comment on a comment made by Nino about the dub below.
Okay. Now it’s bullet point time and for me to spoil, so click the cut if you want to know a few things about the film or just skip to the bottom and read about the after premier interview.

• Alright. First off, Kei aka Nino is supposed to be a high school student, but instead they made him a senior in college which makes sense considering how it’d be sorta weird in the movie world for a teenager to be subjected to this madness.
• The movie wasn’t AS pervy as the manga. Nino did perv on a naked woman in a poster and on the other Kei when she appeared naked.
• SPEAKING OF PERVING: OMG. Watching Nino subtly grab a condom from his drawer and a box of tissues from his dresser was HILARIOUS and IMO pretty fucking hot. Then he very smoothly dropped the condom and tissue box on top of it to the floor after the other Kei mentioned she had a boyfriend. FUNNY.
• Watching Nino being all bad ass was a huge turn on (not a spoiler, but hell, it’s true)
• The train confession scene was cute b/c Nino was cute, but the English dub just sorta destroyed the sure sweetness that whole scene coulda been.
• The movie was gory, but not too incredibly so. I can’t wait for the second movie b/c apparently that’s where all the action is. There was dirty!Nino, but not that dirty. I want to see him get bloodthirsty damn it. He sorta did, but not to the extent Kei does in the manga,.
• I’ve always disliked the Kato character and Kenichi does very well portraying him in this. He plays a weak punk so very well. He doesn’t do anything this whole movie except crying and being scared much like in the manga. I mean even female!Kei had more balls than he did.
• Was it just me or did that entire fight with that yellow Lego looking man make you LOL? It was HILARIOUS. The robot alien perving on female Kei and then Nino basically getting punched repeatedly… HAHAHA! Then the bit where you see them fighting inside the car from far off, my friend and I said it looked like they were making out in the car. XD
• Seeing Nino lying there without an arm and leg was sorta like 0.0 I liked it tho. IDK why, but I did.
• Nino’s fight scenes were ♥! Favorite fight was the Buddha one where he basically did ALL the work. Well hell, he did all the work. When he got swallowed, I was like that’s it. Bad move big Buddha! Hehehehe.
• I sorta just lost my train of thought… will update if I think of more.

The whole movie would have been tons better had the DUB not been so distracting. On to the after movie Q&A which I recorded and posted here!
Nino was very cute and sexy in his faux leather pants and I basically could not stop staring at that part. His laughter is cute and everything was just SQUEE AKJFKSJGFD:JVSSD! He kept getting distracted by Kenichi and trying to make him talk. HOWEVER, when Kenichi spoke, he talked WAYYYY too much at once. His poor translator was like x.x You’ll see in the video. Everyone in the theater thought it was pretty precious. Nino was a pro as usual and I was super glad that no one asked him about Arashi. Why? B/c the movie was not about Arashi. Sure Nino is in Arashi, but it’s got nothing to do with the movie. The questions were sorta bleh and generic. I was mad that the MC put in his own crap question about the actress who played Kei. I was like >.> Don’t care and they didn’t really have too much to say except to comment on her nakedness.
Okay, the dub and Nino’s comment. So towards the end, Nino said that he hopes the second movie would be better for them and that they could hear his voice next time. Which from what I can understand is the nicest way for him to say that it just wasn’t right and did not do the movie justice. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE LEAD ACTOR DARK HORSE AND NEW PEOPLE. He didn’t like it and doesn’t even understand English. Imagine how we feel!
PHEW. I’ll prolly think of more in the morning, but my mind is all over the place atm. I’m willing to discuss with anyone! I WANT to discuss the movie! Refresh my memory! :PPPP
