How it went down
Okay, so it didn't go exactly according to plan. For those of you who read the now-locked entry on "how it's goin down," well, my predictions were pretty much completely wrong.
On saturday (before christmas) I only got together with like 4 of the 8 ppl I wanted to talk to, and two of them were in the process of leaving, so I figured there wasn't much of a point in making my announcement then. On top of this, jeanette couldn't get any pot. None. At all. So yeah, that was a tad disappointing, although on the upshot jordan chilled w/ us that night which was cool; he seemed like a nice guy when i met him and I've been awanting to hang out with more people. Speaking of that, coconut rum is hella good for those of you who haven't tried it yet. Anyhoo, good times were had by all, and I came home the day after.
So then on tuesday I sent out my announcement via email--a pretty well-crafted email, if i do say so myself. My talent for persuasive writing finally comes in handy. I haven't really gotten any response from ppl in the group, I assume that most of them probly won't check their school email over break, and when they do get it they probably won't have much to say anyway. But what's done is done so I now I can finally stop worrying about it, thank God.
My grandparents are here, which is fun although a mixed blessing, it means I have to sleep on a cot that's about 3 inches too damn small, and about as comfortable as sleeping on a metal ladder. But hey, we all make sacrifices. Anyhoo, Christmas went well, lots of fun was had by all, and I got the expansion for Dungeon Siege (which is a kick-ass game, if you didn't know). That was pretty much the only noteworthy present, the rest being gift certificates and much-needed clothing.

Well Christmas is over, plans are set for florida, although my plane ticket still hasn't been bought. I think I'm pretty much going to have to ask my parents for the money, and pay them back with a spring-semester job. Speaking of which, I should go apply for some of those jobs. And I think I will.
