It's been awhile. I'm eating pure sugar (Fun Dip) when writing this, so excuse any nonsensicalities.
So as much as I like English classes, I don't feel like I fit in with the other English majors (besides the fact I'm only a minor). I mean they're nice and all, although some take themselves a bit too seriously, I just feel like I've entered a slightly different culture, as compared with my Chinese classes. I just think it's interesting. But anyway, here is how my semester is like so far:
Chinese 302 is pretty identical to 301. Same prof, many of the same classmates, so yeah, nothing interesting there.
My Chinese lit class also has the same professor, but the subject has changed to Pre-modern as opposed to Ancient. Mostly new classmates, besides one, and I feel we've entered into some sort of comradeship. This class talks more, and I'm not sure I like it. I feel like I have to step up my own game. The professor is always 5 minutes late. Always. I'm more amused than annoyed.
Early American Literature, meh. The professor is interesting, but the reading, so far, hasn't impressed me. Maybe my mind will be changed.
Emily Dickenson, same professor for this class as the last one, the readings are a bit more interesting, maybe.
Introduction to English Studies is going to be a thing. I've had this professor before (twice) so I know what I'm getting into, and I must say, I really like this one.
So, there it is...
Your most humble and obedient servant,
alknick
Oh, and P.S., Wind Day wasn't very windy. Oh well, we got the day off anyway.
