Today's $1 Booksale haul

Aug 16, 2008 17:12

Attended the New Lynn Lion's Club $1 book sale today and while I didn't get as many books as I did last time I still ended up getting about a bag and a half full.

-The Bachelor's Cat - L.F. Hoffman (I can't resist a cat story)
-Divine Madness - Robert Muchamore (looks like an interesting series)
-A Wrinkle in Time - Madeleine L'Engle (one of the modern classics that I haven't read yet)
-Northern Lights - Philip Pullman (I love this series so got this to release)
-Planes, Trains & Elephants - Brian Thacker (have read and enjoyed 2 of his other books and I'm a big travel writing fan)
-Burnt Offerings - Laurell K. Hamilton (thought I'd check out one of the Anita Blake books, read a short story of hers once which I thought was pretty good)
-Circus of the Damned - Laurell K. Hamilton (see above)
-Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception - Eoin Colfer (have read books 1 & 2 of this series and want to read the rest)
-The Rainbow Singer - Simon Kerr (looks interesting though not exactly an upbeat kind of read)
-Writing for the Teenage Market - Ann de Gale (always on the look out for books about writing)
-Hard Candy - Angela Knight, Sheri Gilmore and Morgan Hawkes (another 'dodgy book' for my TBR)
-Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - J.K. Rowling (to release)
-Circle of Flight - John Marsden (I couldn't remember if I'd read this one or not but now I remember I have)

reading, books, bookcrossing
