Actually motivated to update this thing vs feeling obligated. Saw my Band of Brothers profile pic on here and got crazy nostalgic for some reason; hard to believe 2005 was 13 years ago. I'm listening to Mest right now, it's crazy how much they've aged. When I was 17, they were in their mid/late 20's...and now I'm 31. You do the math.
Life's pretty peachy lately. My relationship with Shauna is good. It fluxuates; usually dipping down low over dumb stuff. Anyway, she makes me happy, I love her. Works gotten considerably better as well, I wasn't sure if I was gonna stay for a hot minute. But it's good; can't remember the last time I didn't mentally take work home with me. I've also gained some weight, I think it's just from working out; I went from 187 to 207 - that's twenty pounds. I'd like to at least attribute most that to the fact that I'm lifting more and utilizing the stairclimber more, opposed to just focusing on cardio. I went from a size "small" to a "medium", but my waist is still a size 34, so hopefully that's a good thing. Gotta keep watching what I eat, since I just crested my 30's.
Also realized I'm getting into some pretty redneck-y hobbies. I applied for my Firearms ID Card back in August and got approved. Since then, I've acquired a Ruger AR556 semi-automatic rifle, a Glock 17c pistol, and a Dickenson Commando Shotgun. Went to the range a couple times, definitely enjoy shooting. Also, last year I sold my motorcycle and bought a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sahara - not sure if I mentioned that or not prior. There's nothing like driving down the highway, doors off, roof off, hearing/feeling the wind all around you. I love that thing so much. It's got it's share of mechanical repairs periodically, but hey, it's a 17 year old truck.
Also, trying to make changes in my life regarding the company I keep; trying to weed out all the toxic relationships in my life. I deleted my old Facebook with 1,000+ friends(80% of them meaningless/no longer relevant), and made a new one and just added family and close friends. Also, have just stopped communicating with those who are toxic. Maybe it's turning 31, but I just no longer have time time/energy/patience for those types in my life.
Anyway, Mid-Winter Break(yes, my job gives us a second winter break) is coming up soon. 1 more week of work and then a whole week off! Gonna make a point to get down to Groove Ground to get some recreational reading done, take the dog to Valley Forge National Park, make some time to hangout with friends too.
Also, booked an Air B&B to Maine with Mitch, Kent, Alisa and Tori in Maine. Should be an awesome time, as I've never been there and always wanted to go.
Until next time!
Anyway, Mid-Winter
