Why are we only proud of the things we think are good?
The reason is because thats what our brain tells us. It tells us to only like things we think are good but most of the time this is only on the first look at something. Most people judge a book by its cover too often. im willing to bet if you looked hard enough there would be something good to see, something that the brain likes, something the brains training is not used to. its not like you always like something right away, you need to learn to like it. your brain needs to adjust. this can apply to anything really. a lot of times change is good also, its like music, if you listen to something too much it will start to lose its power, its like that with art also. if you look at a certain style too much you'll get bored with it, and your brain wont like it much anymore.
does fear dictate what and how much we learn/appreciate/see? - i have yet to answer this but ill get around to it
