Commencement post.
So here marks my renewed involvement with Live Journal for the first time in over a year. If you had sexykate_127 under your list, this is the new link. By the way: Al-Jundia is Arabic and means soldier of the female variety... and naturally, I'm a chick. Hence, the "girl". Anyways here's where this journal picks up. I've been in the Army for almost 8 months and I'm currently in Arabic school for the Army since my MOS is "Arabic Linguist. " I've been studying here for almost 3 months and should graduate August of 06...
I've been dating this guy named Saraswat, (well, that's his last name, I learned that first) and you'll probably hear about him quite a bit, since it seems like we're always together. He's Indian, like the asian kind, and in the USMC. He conveniently studies Arabic as well. Anyways, enough about him.
Life on the presidio is freaking amazing. I love it so much. Monterey Bay is Beautiful and San Francisco (I love that city) is close to here (I spent 4 of July wknd there). Here, we study alot, obviously, because learning a language of this calibre in 63 weeks requires "dedication". Anyways, I love it and my dream is to learn this here, so it's not much of a chore. We are in class doing nothing but Al-Arabia from 0755 to 1530 (330pm) 5 days a week. Right now, I'm still unrightfully in a "training company" so I still have some BS formations and training to go to... I should be onto a full blown company after 6 months, but the last graduation got screwed up for me. Anyways onto something that matters...
I hope to be able to post pictures, and update my day to day happnins on here. Now being that I am in the military, there's only so much to tell, but weekends are pretty damn fun and interesting. I'm posting these primarily for those back home, but ANYONE who wants to post or get in touch, feel free.
