Australia
I'm back in Australia. It's hot. Really, really hot. HArd to acclimatise to after being in very cold temps in Colorado. When I say hot I mean pushing 100F, or 40C.
Our road trip was so fun. I went to 4 new states - New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. I will post facebook pics soon. The airport goodbye sucked, as usual. I can't help but cry. I hate Joe and I being apart. Even though I know ince the visa is approved things will be great...it's awful to think that might not be until May. May is so far away. I hope it's sooner.
I had a night in Honolulu, which I really liked. I definately want to go back there for a long vacation. I walked to the beach and then to a huge shopping mall. They had a Korean place in the food court so I ate Bi Bim Bap, pretty much the best meal ever.
Flight from Honolulu to Sydney was 10 hours, not too bad except for the kid in the seat behind me who cried, no kidding, for the WHOLE FLIGHT(well, at least 9 hours of it). I felt bad for the kid and the parents, but 9 hours of non stop crying seemed to be a bit much.
Tomorrow I am going on a picnic with my old friends from high school. I get to see Carly's baby Hayden, who I last saw when I was home in May and he was 7 days old.
Oh, also - I was a bit premature on announcing my sister-in-law's pregnancy, unfortunately she miscarried last week. They are doing OK, just a bit sad I think.
MY friend Tim came and visited today and we went and looked at a potenial rental for me to live - it's the bottom floor of a 2 storey house, and although it's kind of 1960's tacky, it was very appealing to me, who knows why!? The kicker is that is has THREE bedrooms, so plenty of room for anyone who wants to come and stay.
