Things in Colorado are good, if a little chilly. Joe's job is going well and he is going to make a good chunk of cash while we are here. I am stranded at the house all day while everyone is at work, but I am managing to fill in my time with email, internet shopping, movie and TV watching and trying to cook!
I went skiing last Saturday and it went pretty well but it was ridiculously cold, so much so that Joe even said it as one of the toughest days he's spent on the mountain in the 10 years he's lived/worked/visited here. I did not fall over! Joe got a season pass, but I did not want to ski that much so I am rationing out 4 or 5 days of skiing while I am here, all I can afford. My Paychex card is down to the last $50 and don't even get me started on my Aussie credit card. Ouch. Happily though, the department of education, my delightful employer back in Aus saw fit to send me a $180 Xmas bonus despite the fact that I have not worked for them all year. Thankyou very much :) I'll be back at work in 6 weeks, pretty exciting actually.
The weather forecast calls for a white christmas here in the mountains. When I was here 2 years ago it did not snow on Xmas day. So fingers crossed everybody!
