(no subject)
I am posting in LJ b/c I feel like I should, but it sort of feels like a chore. Facebook has taken over.
Busy week coming up...Aussie Embassy in DC on Wednesday to vote before it closes for Thanksgiving break. Election is at home on Saturday for a new Prime Minister. I really want to vote in this election. I can get out of it b/c I'm overseas, but I am still voting. But I left it too late for a postal vote so now we have to drive to DC. That's Ok. Then we got to Suzy, Joe's sis, for Thanksgiving, my first ever :) Exciting. Then Friday we hang out with Joe's friend who will be around, visiting from NYC then on Saturday we have a wedding in Manassas. I'm wearing black. I have nothing else (except summer dresses) and not enough to buy something. I'll have red shoes on though, that's a god bit of colour!
We almost have all we need for the visa application. We were aiming tot ake it with us to the embassy on Wed, but are now aiming to have it completed and sent off by Dec 1.
It's Joe's dads bday tomorrow. We went on a day trip to Jamestown and then Smithfield with him today and had lunch. And we got him the Brad Paisley CD b/c then the CMA's were on the other night he kept raving about how great Bard Paisley was.
My brother is coming to the USA for business in Dec and I will hopefully get to see him. And then we go to Colorado for Xmas then I go home in January. Back to full time employment. Eek. And househunting. ANd moving into that house.
