The Truth Behind Illusions

Zoicite idly stood by and watched as Endymion and Serenity strolled through the garden with Kunzite close behind. The Queen had insisted that the soon-to-be newly wedded couple spend some time together before the formal announcement was made tonight at dinner. Somehow Zoicite had been unable to avoid his guard duty over the prince even when Kunzite was nearby. Although it was odd that the couple had become a threesome so quickly, but he opted not to be bothered with these details.
“Isn’t he amazing?” Venus whispered into his ear, appearing behind him. He turned his neck to glance at her from over his shoulder. “Did I surprise you?” she asked playfully.
“Not at all,” Zoicite responded calmly. “The smell of your perfume gave you away a couple of minutes ago. I was waiting for you to make yourself known.”
“You were always the best of all the Shitennou,” she commented, pressing her chest to his back and standing on tiptoes as she peered over his shoulder. “You did not answer my question though.”
“Endymion is a great ruler and I’m sure that he will ensure fair rule beside your princess.”
Venus laughed lightly at his words. She extended her arm around his to point at the tall Shitennou instead. “It was Kunzite I was referring to actually. He intrigues me. Such a mystery really.” Her eyes followed Kunzite’s movements, noticing how his hand ‘accidently’ brushed Serenity’s.

“He was chosen as our leader for a reason.”
“The two of you are so alike. Both such powerful men, witty intellect,” she paused as she retracted her hand, leaving her fingers to rest on his shoulders, “strong physiques,” she finally finished with a smile. She peered over at him and noticed that he was trying to suppress the grin pulling at his lips. “I imagine the two of you together are quite unstoppable.”
Serenity briefly glanced at Kunzite, a spark of passion in her eyes before returning her gaze to Endymion.
“I had a dream last night,” Venus continued. “Although I might be out of place telling you about it.”
“I’m intrigued to know what the goddess of love dreams about at night,” Zoicite replied, prompting her to continue.
She smiled wickedly, watching as Endymion gazed lovingly at Serenity who did her best to return his sentiment even though her body from time to time would shift closer to the Shitennou at her side. “I was running through this long hallway lined with mirrors that seemed never ending. Everywhere I looked was filled with illusions and nothing was as it seemed. Then suddenly I tripped and as the ground came closer, my eyes closed expecting to impact the hard surface below me, but then warm arms encircled me and told me I was safe. As my eyes opened I found myself in my room, on my bed, candles all around me. Another illusion I wondered.”
Serenity posed a question to Kunzite and laughed at his response, using that moment as an excuse to brush against his chest with her fingertips.
“Those arms that caught me once again appeared around me and I felt soft lips brush across my neck and allowed my eyes to close lest I wake from this perfect dream.” She peered over at Zoicite and noticed that his eyes had closed as she spoke. Her other hand crawled up his shoulder and her fingertips teased the back of his neck. “His voice was deep and I could feel the baritone deepness running through my skin. It was ecstasy feeling his hands move across my body, sliding my sleeves from my shoulders and pressing calloused fingers down my back. I could feel his breath coming out harder and faster, matching my own.”
A guard approached Endymion and passed him a letter sealed with the royal emblem. Endymion excused himself momentarily leaving Serenity and Kunzite alone. The couple smiled pleasantly and Kunzite bowed his head in respect to his departing monarch. Once alone they slipped away behind some tall shrubs, although not completely hidden as Venus could see the outline of the couple embracing through the brambles.
“He pushed me down on the bed and at that point I couldn’t have refused if I wanted to. The caresses against my skin and the searing kisses against my neck, all I wanted was for his lips to be on mine, for his body to press down on me. As he obliged my silent wishes, my hands clung to his back, my fingers tangling in the ends of his hair. When I finally felt him inside of me I wondered if the entire moon felt the impact of our bodies colliding.” Her fingers continued to work their way down his chest, pressing firmly against his sculpted abs. She could hear the pitch of his breath increasing, caught up in her words as her voice hypnotized him with her story.
Serenity and Kunzite reemerged from where they had disappeared, a smile gracing her lips as he pulled a leaf from her hair. None too soon Endymion returned and rejoined the couple, picking up where he had left off with his story.
“His fingers dug into my hips almost painfully with his desperation. Faster and harder his body pressed into mine until all of my muscles tensed and wracks of tremors overtook me. His name passed through my lips and I didn’t even realize that I had known it until that moment. Kunzite. My eyes finally opened and I was met with his green eyes just before he pressed his lips against my temple. His breath was as ragged as mine until I looked over in the mirror and realized that I was not me, but that I was you. It was your name that he whispered to me and then I promptly woke up, alone in my bed, perspiration covering my body. It was my hands that ran across my body as I slept and it was now my hands that brought me the physical pleasure that my dream had only made me crave.” Her hand moved over Zoicite’s chest, squeezing tightly against his chest and sighing softly against his ear. “I realized that my dream was telling me that the illusion was my arranged marriage, that there was a reason that Kunzite did not desire me. It’s you that he desired, yet it is the both of you that I desire.”
Zoicite’s eyes opened and he looked at her still peering over his shoulder, a dark glint in her eyes. She walked around to stand in front of him. “And all of this you dreamed last night?” he asked her.
“Perhaps I the next time it won’t be just a dream. I would gladly share my bed with the both of you tonight. Seduce him, bring him to me, and I will show you pleasure that you have never known.” She glanced over the trio now continuing on their path through the gardens. “Sometimes we dismiss the truth as illusion rather than acknowledge it for what it is.” Her hand slid across his chest as she took leave, walking down a less travelled path of the garden. Her thoughts were angry and chaotic, only concerned with keeping her promise to Kunzite - that she would ruin him in the end.
