All in a day.

I had a lovely lunch with innie_darling after seeing The King's Speech. I LOVED The King's Speech, let me just say. It's just one of those things. It's expertly crafted. There is such tension, and it is so well-acted, and it is beautifully shot. innie_darling is also beautifully shot, expertly crafted, and tension-free. And I'm always eager to meet anyone who loves to talk about Sherlock, Frankenstein, the Cumberbabe and Mar-Freezy, among other things.

As we were strolling along, we spotted Patrick Wilson. We had to look up his name, but he was instantly recognizable. innie_darling recalled him (naked) from "Little Children" and I recognized him via "Angels in America."

So that was the good part of the day. Now, it's a not-so-good moment as I just learned that one of my former foster, McGee (part of the NCIS orphan kittens from last year), has FIP and will not live long. I am absolutely devastated, not just for him, but for his adoptive parents, the NICEST people in the world (a couple, the girl is in Avenue Q). And for his adopted brother, Grey Bear.

The only one from that litter of four who will still be alive (Gibbs died first, even though he was the biggest and strongest, and Tony passed as well, both before they were 8 weeks) will be Ziva, my one-eyed tabby darling. I only kept her because she loved me so much and I nearly lost her, and then when she lost her eye I just couldn't bear to think of giving her up. The other litter that I had at the same time was also part of the NCIS group, and I still have Abby. She's gorgeous and no one will adopt her. Duckie was adopted and he is fine, and Jimmy Palmer didn't make it past 6 weeks.
