Happy Anniversary, TRMS! (Part 1)
Happy Post Some Fukkin' Maddow Day! In honor of the first anniversary of The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC (AKA "the piece of media that has consumed more of my brain than any other in all of history"), I bring you some vidspam.

First up: The 10 Best Tosses of the Year (with one to grow on). (In chronological order, because there's no way to possibly prioritize one over another.)
(To translate for those at home: the toss is the 30 seconds or so between Countdown and TRMS where Keith hands the show off to Rachel. (These 30 seconds are often enough to color the rest of the night.) I selected these on the basis of Rachel's awesomeness, although of course the interaction between her and Keith came into play, and I tried to spread the wealth so that they weren't all from the recent past.)
Preface. September 8, 2008 -- First toss ever!
I couldn't not include the first toss, because it's awesome and awkward ("Oh, that guy? He's on way too much...") and lovely, but it doesn't quite meet the criteria I used in selecting tosses. So it's here for those of you unfamiliar with it, but it's not *really* a part of the list. ;)
1. November 24, 2008 -- Her recipe for bourbon
Because I *have* always wondered where she gets her energy, and now I know.
2. December 1, 2008 -- Ms. Moderator
"That's the first time I've ever been called 'moderate' in my life."
3. January 8, 2009 -- My evil overlord
My BFF and I have indeed called her "the Maddow" ever since.
4. January 23, 2009 -- Embarrassed hives
Because sometimes, she collapses in embarrassed hives just like you and me!
5. February 24, 2009 -- This is convenient
In the same room, not shattering.
May 22, 2009 -- Muppets
Bouncing pundits are adorable.
June 24, 2009 -- Emails
He has that effect on everybody, as she knows.
July 14, 2009 -- Mermaids
Apparently this mermaids thing is fairly common? I never had an issue with it, but oh, how I love her revealing her broken psyche on national TV. ;)
August 14, 2009 -- Fired
She got Dick Armey fired. Now she's making her MTP debut with him.
September 2, 2009 -- The hall
Because you know that Rachel spent the whole next day following Keith around as payback.
Kick it to Rachel also has a few selected non-toss moments of awesome, so of course I (who can't keep her top 10 list to 10 items) needed to select some bonus spam for your enjoyment. I now bring you five bonus moments of awesome.
November 11 -- Bloggers are in pajamas
For this solo clip, I steal from KITR: Rachel Maddow, blogger-pundit hybrid.
January 20 -- Bicycle messenger
Because apparently there are still things Keith doesn't know about her. (It was a tough call between this and All women want, also from Inauguration Day, but this has less creepy laughing from Tweety. ;P)
February 24 -- Speechless
She gets paid to talk, but she has no words.
April 14 -- Oddbaseball
Because Keith + Rachel + baseball = OT3, so yes, yes you *can* do this all the time.
August 8 -- Hide Keith
If the awesomeness of this requires explanation, you need your head examined. :P
ETA: I couldn't find it on Youtube anywhere, but I'd meant to include our pundit shooting hoops and looking fierce doing it. (Also, Sue Wick with an awesome filibuster metaphor.) So there's uh, a few more moments of awesome from TRMS, because seriously. :D
