(no subject)
i know i've said it before, but i'll say it again: haagen daas pomegranate chip ice cream? well worth the $6 or whatever it costs. not to mention, i just looked at the nutrition facts, and the pint's supposed to be only four servings. which means that i'm only having maybe like, a third of the calories in a serving every time i eat some (because my ice cream servings are teeny tiny).
jenna didn't come up yesterday or today. today sucked worse because my dad called around 11.30 to invite me out on the boat with them, and i passed because jenna was supposed to come out, but meh, what can you do. i could've gone out after that, but i ended up watching dvds instead, which was cool, since it's been a while since i could focus. in the last few days i've watched gray matters (which was okay), reefer madnesS (which i still love, and in which i'd forgotten that kristen bell gets all dominatrixy and HOTTTT!) and the first discs of joan of arcadia and big love, along with some of this past season's veronica mars. oh, and i watched a chunk of last season entourages while i was at work yesterday, which was cool. i went to dinner at dad's on saturday and out with mom on sunday, and was struck by the fact that when dad invites me to go out to a store with him to pick up some stuff, he pays for it, while mom invites me out, then makes me pay for my own shit. so i spent $30+ at bj's on stuff i barely even needed, as opposed to going out with dad, who took me to walmart and let me wander around with my shopping list in my head and pick stuff up i needed, then paid for it all for me. it's just striking, is all. you can do with the information what you will.
in other news, i am very dismayed by the fact that method doesn't make dishwasher detergent. it's a disturbing thing, but they are my new favorite cleaning supplies. also, i need to figure out where i'm going to put up all the lovely things i have for my walls, now that i have an apartment to decorate. my bedroom would be the first likely place for most of these things to go, but there's not much wall space there. (maybe at some point i'll take pictures. probably not.) oh, and: trader joe's mac & cheese is really good. even if i don't like two of the four cheeses in it (which i didn't realize when i bought it). finally, i'm going to go do a puzzle now. (sad, i know, but what can you do?)
hope everyone is enjoying their 4th of july weekend. (man, i hate this holiday. but at least i got two days off out of the deal, always a good thing.) and if it rains next wednesday, i will shoot someone.

ETA: i totally forgot to add that i am absolutely *infatuated* with the am project, who's tina majorino's band. when i have a chance to do that seven songs meme that's running around, expect to see one of their songs in it. cause dude, she's awesome, and the songs aren't bad! mwah.
