so, first things first: can i just say that i slept better last night than i have in MONTHS?? cause seriously. i totally did. i hope i can have a repeat tonight, because i felt *so* rested when i woke up this morning. :)

today was a horribly dull day. except first thing in the morning. this is because my mom called me shortly after i got to work and informed me that the golden globe nominations were announced today. this is NOT good, people. I DIDN'T KNOW. totally clueless. i am COMPLETELY off my game here, kiddies. and for the most excitingly fantastically wonderful awards show ALL FUCKING YEAR!!!!!!!!!! NOT. GOOD.

anyway. GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINATIONS. (that's a link to the nominations.) as usual, the hollywood foreign press does it a million zillion times better than any academy EVER does. i am at an absolute loss in several categories (mostly in a positive way, but some negatives as well). they are as follows.
  • best actor in a drama (film): capote vs edward r. murrow. and that's even BEFORE brokeback mountain. dude.
  • is match point really supposed to be that good? because woody allen really hasn't made anything worth mentioning in quite some time. (although, admittedly, i haven't yet seen melinda and melinda. maybe that worked.)
  • sarah jessica parker? really? of all the actors in the family stone, i wouldn't have bet money on her for a globe nod.
  • johnny depp! squee!!!!! reese witherspoon! double squee!!!!!!!
  • supporting actress in a film has too many beautiful, beautiful women in films i haven't seen. not good. how do you choose in a situation like that??
  • grey's anatomy. take that, crappy tv shows that usually get emmy nominated.
  • sandra oh! mary-louise parker! jeremy piven!
  • the biggest, most wonderful problem a girl could ever have: best actor in a comedy (tv). zach braff, steve carell, and jason lee? *le grande sigh o' contentment* i think jason lee would actually win in aliland, because a) he's my husband, and b) he pretty much *carries* that show, but still. STILL.
so that's what i've got. :D

next things next. it is the BIRTHDAY OF THE ZAMMY!!!!!!!! so everyone wish a happy birthday to the zammy. because it is very important. and make sure to sing her "my love is like whoa". cause i didn't have a chance to. (also, because i don't trust her not to record me doing it again, hahahahaha.)

finally, i'm working on this thing at work that's doing all this analysis, all these numbers. and i'm like, ripping my hair out, because i'm *not* an analyst, i'm not a statistician, i'm not a numbers person! at least not officially, even though i am really good with math. and it's fun, but it's nervewracking, because everytime i think i've made a step in the right direction, i have to change directions. and it's fun, but frustrating. it's like a huge, million piece puzzle of like, the horizon over the ocean. it's crazy. and.....i kinda love it. :D

mwah!
