"it's a harsh welcome to reality," says my father in response to an email asking for his thoughts and prayers for various people in our lives. one friend's mom died while another friend is in the hospital yet again while my mechanic and my father's closest friend in the northeast has mere months to live. i feel sick. i'm sending my positive energy to everyone.

i'm so thankful for so many things, regardless the lack of mercy life seems to have on all of us these days.
