Basically, our goal is to collect as many fics as we can in plain text files, upload it to a site, where people can download the fics. We're doing this, since fanfiction sites go down all the time. Nothing lasts forever, right? So we're going through sites, emailing the authors, to ask for permission. The saving the fics to our harddrives will begin in a while, after we work out a rutine, then we have to decide where to upload the files and how to categorize them. We're just contacting authors at this stage, and looking for ideas and more people who are willing to help with the project.
So, would you be okay with us downloading and sharing your fics? We would put the author name, your username, in the file name(maybe more info as well), and in the file itself we would write the url where we found the fic, when it was saved uploaded, when we saved it, your summary, warnings, author's note, the fic itself, etc etc. Then we would make it available to anyone who wants it/them.
Whether you accept or not, could you tell us if you upload fics to other sites, and under what/which name(s)? So we don't contact you twice.
Since this comment seems to be "anonymous," you can contact me at fan@virtueandjoy.net ... that's one way to get back.

P. S. I'm looking for an author called wyndgyrl, who writes really kickass femslash fic. I haven't been able to find her. Can you help? If you know where she is, could you either contact her on my behalf, or tell me how to reach her? Thanks.
We're doing a fan project, called 'Save The Fics'. Here's our url:
