This was the first time I watched TV in forever.

I watched the premiere of The Sarah Connor Chronicles online. So I saw the entire episode already.

It doesn't matter. The last hour, watching it on television, was still an hour of totally awesome squee. Can't wait until tomorrow!

When I didn't even know what channel Fox was, I realized just how long it has been since I've watched television.

There were some differences. I'm sure that the scene where Sarah left her husband was new, and "a needle and thread stop the bleeding was not in the version I saw."

I saw advice for this show saying "when a character's name is in the title, be sure that character is more interesting than the other characters in the story." First time? Sarah wasn't. Sure enough, it's hard to be more interesting than Summer Glau, and I don't think they really turned it around. It'll be a few eps before all the kinks are worked out. But she's much more interesting now than she was before.

3 of 5 Robots agreed: it kicked butt!

Those scenes were in the version I saw, but I feel that part of John's conversations with Cameron are new to me. I do think John and Cameron are probably more interesting than Sarah, but since I'm watching the show mostly because of Summer, I'm not exactly complaining.

Yeah, I think the gas-up scene is new.

I said to Medium, "the key to Sarah is that she's crazy." Medium said "She's not crazy. She's right." I was just about to say something like "Just because you're right doesn't mean you're not crazy" when the classroom scene came up and John said "My mom is really intense." Which is perhaps a better word for it. Intense. Batshit intense. Pumping shotguns one-handed with your offhand intense. Linda Hamilton's T2 Sarah was intense. That was, of course, 18 years ago. You see edges of it here but not the core.

I love that they kept her existentialist voice-over. T2's the best of the series. And I've loved the concept, Cold War relic that it is, for years. Yeah, I wanna see Summer (who else can, with her look and physical control, can seem so alien without makeup?), but I love the continuity.
