VMars

I think tonight's Gilmore Girls was a rerun? Or maybe not. I only caught the tail end, waiting for VMars. In any case April remains the most adorable thing (erm, person? character?) ever. And Alexis is stil hot.

Is there GG fic which focuses on the interactions--in a gen way, I swear!--between Rory, Gigi, and April? Because I want that. Alongside BSG Cally/Gaius, of course. (Or Cally/anybody. Rec me good Cally fic?)

It was weird having Mac be in so much of the episode after half a season of constantly being working on a project or at a viewing or just always on the other side of campus whenever Veronica dropped by, but it was a delight to see her. The A plot was pretty blah but this might be my favorite episode so far this season, just for having so much Mac in it.

I know some people were missing Wallace, but I didn't even realize his absence, I was so in love with the Mac/Parker/Veronica dynamic in this episode. Why can't the show be like this every week--three hot girls fighting crime? I could really do without the male characters, and so the way Piz, Logan, and Dick were all pretty much sidelined this week seemed pretty much perfect to me.

Except for Keith, of course. We have to have Keith, because without Keith there would be no Marscest vibes.

I hope Mac doesn't turn out to be the Cylon. No wait, I think I've been reading jennyo's journal too much lately.

Actually, I hope Logan turns out to be the Cylon. Or maybe Dick. Or both. If Logan and Dick weren't on the show, they could probably give Tina more screentime, and that would be awesome.

And just when we thought it was safe, we end with more Logan/Veronica. Come on--when will we be allowed to move on? I mean, really?

Veronica should date the Immortal, completely offscreen like in "The Girl in Question." Since apparently Buffy's entire relationship with him has been retconned out of existence. After all, any future Veronica/not-Logan pairing will suffer from The Riley Finn Syndrome, and I always thought the offscreen-Immortal-gambit was the perfect response. And then Ari and I--Ari when she finally gets to watch season 3, whenever that might be--could totally speculate about how the Immortal was really Keith.

I miss Madison. And Grace and Lizzie Manning. And, erm, the ghosts--shouldn't we have ghosts? We had ghosts in the last two seasons. And a bunch of other things which made VMars VMars, although I think this episode came the closest to being what I remember so fondly than any in a long time.

In short, I loved everything about this episode except for the plot, and I didn't hate that either.

battlestar galactica, textual analysis, tina majorino is teh awesome, veronica mars, gilmore girls
