"Stop Staring!" Dresses

May 28, 2008 19:57

Okay, I stumbled across this set of dresses and how much do I want this one?

My figure responds best to that of the Post War era. Er... usually.

looks aren't everything, a fashion face! a face *full* of fashion, want

Oh, take care not to be sucked down the endless hole of want that is Stop Staring! But I will enable anyhow; the Manhattan dress is available here: http://www.daddyos.com/retro/retroldy.html I've ordered from Daddy O's before and they have great customer service.

OH NO!!!!! Moar WANT!!! I've had similar (but much more poorly made) dresses from Hot Topic and these look far superior in both quality and style. And good customer service?! *fights down extra grabby hands*

At least I have the small conciliation that I currently have no place to wear these. *siiigggghhh*

I did the squee-o-meter when I saw the sizes! A large that's ACTUALLY a large?! HURRAH!!!

And holy shit, no matter how my hair or make-up (and also my figure) were behaving that day, I'd feel like the Queen of Sheba (or Babylon) in either of those dresses. Hell, I'd wear 'em to go grocery shopping, should the mood strike me.

Alright, I'll stop spaming you after this but I really like this one: http://www.daddyos.com/retro/stps1.html

and I've seriously thought about purchasing this one: http://www.daddyos.com/retro/ja6.html

They have a designer collection that's hard to find online but is to die for. Higher prices though--$300-$400.

Pfffft! Tempting me with drool-worthy clothes is not spam!

Holy shiznit, that first one is the best of both worlds! Thirties yet accommodating to the "post-war" figure.
And red and black!!! Black is my favorite color to wear but I love a splash of red in the right place (re: any place that's going to hide pudge).

*sighs delightedly*

Modern life is indeed a cruel mistress in not giving us any place to wear nice clothes. Deep sigh. Still, your birthday is coming up--can you hint broadly to anyone?

*taps finger to lip*

I could always save the money myself and when I have my own place throw lots of lavish parties (*snorts*) and wear these to them!

Or I could twist the arm of someone to throw a costume bash. FUN!
