I can't imagine a truly complete critique of Disney without reference to Lilo & Stitch, my favorite Disney movie of all time, so I like that you describe the book as a curiously period piece in its own right (one of my favorite memes is that Nani is truly the greatest "Disney princess"). I don't know if I would check oh this book, being dated as it is, but I do so love your intelligent examinations of the books you read.
I am ASHAMED that I only recently saw Lilo & Stitch but at the same time very glad because it was absolutely charming and some of the animation was flatout gorgeous.
You're so kind about my rambly-mouth reviews! ♥ I felt kinda bad since this was obviously a small-press publication and hey, it's still available! But I've been spoiled by so many good Disney-blogs that basically do this but much better.

Speaking of good Disney blogs and Nani as a princess, do you follow Disney For Princesses? I love them and Disney Diversity and I like Feminist Disney too.
