1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.
1. What song or song lyric best describes your outlook on life?
I think
Talula by Tori Amos. Or
Little Earthquakes. I included the lyrics, just because I like to link things.
2. What is your favorite guest/episode of The Colbert Report?
The first ones that spring to mind are the "Shred-off" from last Christmas and the "Metaphor-off" with Sean Penn. Those were truly teh frickin' awesomesauce. Also, whenever Tim Robbins comes on, since he gets the joke. Jane Fonda is kinda scary.
3. What is your favorite scent?
Hmmm.... lilacs in springtime. Fabreeze "freesia" dryer sheets. The Bath and Body Works "Jasmine Vanilla" lotion, since it's the one vanilla my body chemistry doesn't ruin. And all of the following scents from
Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab: O, Bewitched, French Love, Medea, Penitence and Mata Hari (the last one I really have to be in a certain mood).
4. Who is your personal hero?
My dear friend Kare-bear who has the greatest philosophies on life I've ever seen and who has taught me to swear like a long shore man. Holly Golightly since even though she was lost, she was still having a good time. Jon Stewart, because he's the second coming of Christ. And
Herbert Kornfeld, but def.
5. Other than Jon or Stephen and our other comedian loves, you else do you enjoy listening to?
That's really the only TV I watch anymore, since the rest is on DVD (or they don't show it and I need to get the DVD), although I will watch Cold Case Files and American Justice on A&E, on the rare occasions they'll show it. And also, because I'm a bad person, I like watching Intervention and telling myself that it's okay to watch since it teaches people that addiction is bad and they get help. Anything else of note (Keith and Anderson) I siphon from YouTube. ^_^
