☮ = Oddly enough, I draw inspiration from Hank Hill. I really dig the fact he has a job that seems unimpressive to many (and in retail, none the less) but he takes it as a badge of honor and is clearly so involved in and passionate about it. I know he's a fictional character, I know it's largely being played for laughs, but in some ways, it gave me and gives me permission to be openly enthusiastic/proud of things that many really, well, aren't.
Þ = DAMMIT YOU KNOW MY FILM LOVES SO WELL. Ummm, I'll go with one that's been very popular with me semi-recently, the original 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Maybe it's because I know she's based on Joan Crawford in part, but I always laugh at this:

☻ = Since you're yet another one of those whipper-snappers that knows me too well (yeah... sorry about that), I wanted to offer something that makes me happy that you might not know about, but given last night, I'm just reconfirming what even passers-by know: J MOTHAFUCKIN' W. I was in kind of a slump last night and watching even a crappy quality half hour doc about John Waters cheered my spirits in a way I'd forgotten. While I was digging through my Tumblr shit looking for, in all seriousness, the Vogelcheck gif post that I am eternally thankful to YOU for, which took me forever to find since I was a twat and didn't tag it properly, I was "forced" to look through almost all of my tags ("SNL", "Paul Rudd", "Bill Hader", etc) and stumbled across the Fred Armisen quote about John Waters and how much he (and his career) were helped by him. I started bobbing my head enthusiastically (I can't stress enough that I was alone) since
