"He held the door for me and put his hand on the small of my back as I walked through. I tried not to think about it, but somehow the gesture spoke to my feminine side, the one that liked to feel protected and pampered by a big strong man. I know, I know, the feminazis would have a cow, but hey why fight nature?" (pg 194)

I literally yelled nature? NATURE? at that part. I'd have preferred I was flattered, which isn't that much better but for chick lit...

I understand where you're coming from with that lack of Pagan research. Why write about something if discussing canon work is out of the question? For example, if I wrote about a black haired Pagan with awesome book reviews, I'd damn well do my research.

Ugh, I hate that when someone who happens to be a guy does something nice/considerate for someone who happens to be a female, the whole thing has to devolve into !CHIVALRY FEMINISM!! crappolla. Couldn't she feel protected and pampered because she likes to feel that way? Also, I wonder if she gets a spark between the thighs when she's protected and pampered by a big strong man who isn't straight? And the fact personal preference is passed off as "nature" and arguing that feminism is somehow fighting nature... ugh. FAIL.

AND DON'T YOU KNOW I DON'T TAKE PRAISE VERY WELL! ♥
