Come with me, Donghae tells him.
Kibum hesitates, but swallows his yes
and the regret in his throat
(there’s life, school and family now).
Please? Donghae asks, an impossible request.
We can’t be children any more.
Donghae’s eyes dim (just a little).
ii.
Life without Donghae is lonely like
a colourless picture, a voiceless singer.
Second chances come in the form
of three knocks on his door
and smiles he remembers so well.
Come with me, Donghae says again.
This time, Kibum takes a risk.
